Hi, this is Rishushu :) Today I'm doing a post on a great restaurant at Lotte Department Store Incheon — Menya Seoul, known for its ramen! I visit Lotte Department Store Incheon often, and it's such a good lunch option that I came back again ♥ On hungrier days I usually get the set, but this time I'm on a diet, so I went for the à la carte option instead~ It was so good I kind of regret not getting the set anyway (haha).

What is on the menu at Menya Seoul?

Menya Seoul's signature dishes are jambon char siu ramen, spicy dongpo pork char siu ramen, and dongpo pork char siu ramen. The signature dishes genuinely look so good lol.

Since this place is generally known for its ramen, I think anyone who loves ramen already knows about it. I ordered because I wanted the pork belly mazesoba. There are also rice bowls, so if you're not in the mood for noodles you've got plenty of choice ^^ It's especially good for solo dining — I go to restaurants at Lotte Department Store Incheon a lot, and it's perfect for people like me~~~

Is Menya Seoul comfortable for solo dining?

The Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch store has a clean, tidy atmosphere, and the bar-style seating made it really good for eating alone :) The set menus looked really appetizing too — I wanted to try them. Next time I'm hungry, I'll order a set and try everything haha. Good for lunch, good for dinner too.

How was the 11,900-won pork belly mazesoba?

I ordered the pork belly mazesoba, and at ₩11,900 as of that day, I think it's very reasonably priced. There was a big chunk of pork belly piled on top of the mazesoba, so it looked really appetizing right from the start.

Ahhh the visuals are so good lol. I broke the egg yolk and mixed the noodles, sauce and toppings all together evenly! The combo of rich sauce and pork belly was great.

I mixed it well so the sauce coated the noodles evenly, then took a big bite...! I was surprised — the sauce flavor was way richer than I expected. It goes well with the noodles, and the chives and bonito flakes added give it a nice aroma. And the pork belly was so delicious ^^

The meat is thick, so it feels much more filling and hearty than just eating the noodles alone~! It has a different vibe from Taiwanese-style mazesoba. That distinctively rich, savory flavor might not be for everyone, but personally I really like it ^^

Adjusting the seasoning with chili oil and kelp vinegar

There's chili oil and kelp vinegar set out on the table at Menya Seoul, so you can adjust the taste to your liking. I started with it plain, then added a bit little by little as I ate, and it was nice to taste something different along the way haha. Overall the seasoning is on the stronger side, so keep that in mind!

Where to eat near Incheon Terminal and Lotte Department Store Incheon

Menya Seoul isn't just about ramen — there's a variety of dishes like rice bowls, gyoza, and karaage! You can enjoy pork belly mazesoba like I did, and it also seems great for a group where everyone picks something different♥ Now I'm craving those noodles again~~ slurp slurp slurp.

I'd recommend the ramen restaurant Menya Seoul to anyone looking for somewhere to eat near Incheon Terminal, or shopping at Lotte Department Store Incheon and deciding on lunch or dinner! I tried the mazesoba this time, so next time I want to try Menya Seoul's signature dongpo pork char siu ramen too :) I'll bring back a review when I go again lol.
