Osan Chinese food for two: spicy stone jjajang set at Dami Sik

In short

Dami Sik is a Chinese restaurant in Nueup-dong, Osan, Gyeonggi, near the Segyo 2 district, known for stone jjajang (black bean noodles served on a hot stone plate) and dongpo pork (braised pork belly). On a Friday at 7pm, two of us ordered the stone jjajang + dongpo pork set for 48,000 won, switched to spicy jjajang, and it came with two bowls of rice and a free fried egg — far more food than two people could finish. With a large parking lot and generously spaced tables, Dami Sik works just as well for a pair as for a group.

I've been craving Chinese food lately, so here's my real review of Dami Sik, a Chinese restaurant in Osan!!

Where is Dami Sik, and what is parking like on a Friday evening?

Dami Sik is a Chinese restaurant near the Segyo 2 district in Nueup-dong, Osan. Here's what it looks like from outside — it's right by the Segyo 2 district haha

Large parking lot next to Dami Sik

There's a big parking lot right beside the restaurant!! No parking worries, which was great haha. We visited on a Friday around 7pm, and since it's apparently a well-known Nueup-dong spot, the lot was packed 😙

Here are photos of the inside~~ there were about 12 tables, and the seats were spacious, so a lot of group gatherings were happening!! The gap between tables was wide too, so even with a lot of people it never felt crowded or chaotic hahaha

Dami Sik menu and the set two people ordered

Dami Sik's menu has a really wide range, from Chinese to Korean dishes. Surprisingly they even have pollack hot pot haha. Looking at another table, they came with kids — the kids ate jjajangmyeon while the adults had pollack hot pot!! Seems like a great place to bring kids too 😋

The two of us visited and

Stone jjajang + dongpo pork set, 48,000 won

ordered this and ate it up!!

Free fried egg and the three side dishes at Dami Sik

The fried egg was free, so we could snack on it while waiting for the food 🍳 the owner's got great taste .. ❤️

Three side dishes: cabbage salad, pickled radish, and green onion kimchi

The side dishes were cabbage salad, pickled radish, and green onion kimchi — three kinds!! The green onion kimchi was perfectly fermented and so tasty 🤤 the cabbage salad was refreshing, perfect to eat before the main dish!!

Spicy stone jjajang served on a hot stone plate at Dami Sik

How spicy is the spicy stone jjajang at Dami Sik?

While we were eating the fried egg, the stone jjajang came out fast haha. I really wanted to try stone jjajang — isn't the visual amazing?! ㅠ_ㅠ ❤️❤️ We ordered the spicy version, and it was less spicy than Shin Ramyun, so if you want a mild kick, try switching to the spicy jjajang 🤤

Rice included with the set alongside the stone jjajang

Ordering the stone jjajang + dongpo pork set comes with two bowls of rice included, but the portion of noodles was really, really huge lol. So we barely touched the rice.

Since the noodles come on a hot stone plate, they tasted even better for being warm!!! ❤️ The plate is hot, so as soon as the food arrives you need to flip it once with a spatula! Otherwise the noodles will stick right to the stone.

Stone jjajang noodles served onto a plate

Even with the two of us scooping generous portions, there was still plenty left 🤤 it's the joy of eating a genuinely delicious tray jjajang pressed onto a stone plate — super hot, super tasty 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Plenty of tray jjajang still left on the stone plate

There was plenty of squid in it too. Soft and so, so delicious!!!

Eating Dami Sik's dongpo pork: how it's served

While we were eating the jjajang, the dongpo pork arrived!!

A plate of Dami Sik's dongpo pork

Can you tell how melt-in-your-mouth soft it is just from the photo?! It genuinely dissolves the moment it hits your mouth lol

A soft, tender piece of Dami Sik's dongpo pork

The meat is soft, the sauce seasoning is spot on, and eating it with wasabi and rice feels like a proper dongpo pork rice bowl!! 😙

Dongpo pork eaten on top of bok choy

It's also really, really good eaten with the bok choy like this haha. I'm getting hungry again just writing this post ㅠ.ㅠ

Who should eat at Dami Sik in Nueup-dong, Osan?

They also have pollack hot pot on the menu, so I'm planning to come back and try it!! Looking at other tables, everyone seemed to order the pollack hot pot without fail 😚

  • Anyone wanting stone jjajang in Osan
  • Anyone wanting dongpo pork in Osan
  • Anyone who wants Korean and Chinese food together

Highly recommend Dami Sik, an Osan restaurant favorite !! 🤍
