We went out for an outing at Gapyeong's The Stay Healing Park and needed somewhere nearby for lunch. Going far felt like a hassle, so while looking for something close we found Dami Seorak Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi, about 5 minutes away by car, and headed over.
Dami Seorak Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi: hours and facilities

Dami Seorak Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:00.
They serve spicy dakgalbi, soy dakgalbi, makguksu (buckwheat noodles) and more, with high chairs and parking on site. When we visited, the atmosphere was clearly comfortable for families, and group seating and takeout were both available.
How far is Dami Seorak from The Stay Healing Park, and is there parking?
Dami Seorak Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi is located at 150 Hanseo-ro, Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's also close to Gapyeong IC, making it a good stop for a meal before heading back toward Seoul after a Gapyeong trip.
We came here right after our outing at The Stay Healing Park, and it only took about 5 minutes by car. It's also about 5 minutes from Gapyeong IC and about 10 minutes from Shine Dale, so the location looked convenient for anyone finishing up at nearby accommodations or golf courses and looking for a place to eat.

Parking space was generous too, so we didn't have to worry much. On a Gapyeong trip you're often driving around, so not having to circle the neighborhood looking for parking was a nice bonus.
With a baby especially, we tend to avoid places where parking is a hassle since you have to get the stroller and gear out of the car — so having less of that burden here felt like a real plus.
Inside Dami Seorak: space for babies and rules for dogs

The space was bigger inside than it looked from outside. There were more tables than I expected, and the gaps between them were generous enough that we never felt crammed against the next table.
There was plenty of room to bring a stroller in, so we never had to worry about where to park it while eating with the baby. High chairs were also plentiful, so a family traveling in Gapyeong with a baby could definitely consider this place for a meal.
Pets are allowed too, but with the condition that you bring a carrier or pet stroller — so if you're visiting with a dog, that's something to prepare in advance.
Dami Seorak menu and prices

Spicy dakgalbi ₩15,000, soy dakgalbi ₩15,000, bibim-makguksu ₩10,000, mul-makguksu ₩10,000.
There was also a makguksu + boiled pork set for ₩15,000, potato pancake for ₩12,000, boiled pork for ₩40,000, chicken stew for ₩10,000, buckwheat pheasant dumpling soup for ₩10,000, and buckwheat pancake roll for ₩10,000 — so many things I wanted to try, but since it was just the two of us, we couldn't order everything, which was a bit of a shame.
Ordering half-and-half dakgalbi and bibim-makguksu

Since they do half-and-half dakgalbi, we ordered one portion of soy dakgalbi and one portion of spicy dakgalbi. Ordering just one flavor would've felt like we were missing out, so being able to compare both at once was great.

We also ordered one portion of bibim-makguksu, and they brought a kettle of broth on the side. We started eating it mixed, then poured in the broth partway through to enjoy it more like mul-makguksu — that was a nice touch.

Honestly, the side dishes surprised us more than the dakgalbi itself. I didn't expect a dakgalbi place to bring out this much variety — deodeok-muchim (seasoned deodeok root), gaji-bokkeum (stir-fried eggplant), dotorimuk-muchim (seasoned acorn jelly), buchu-muchim (seasoned garlic chives), kkaennip-jangajji (pickled perilla leaves), and odeng-bokkeum (stir-fried fish cake). And it wasn't just quantity — every single one was genuinely delicious.
How the charcoal-grilled dakgalbi and side dishes tasted

Grilled over charcoal, the dakgalbi carried a subtle smoky flavor that I really liked, and it went especially well with the deodeok-muchim that came alongside.
The banchan felt like being fed at a countryside grandmother's house. The odeng-bokkeum was warm, like it had just been stir-fried; the deodeok-muchim smelled great and paired beautifully with the charcoal dakgalbi; and the buchu-muchim wasn't too salty, seasoned just right, with a nutty sesame note that made it even better.
We never had to ask for refills — staff kept topping up the side dishes on their own, and the portions were generous. Usually when there's this much banchan, some of it goes to waste, but that day it was so good we cleared every single plate.

Is Dami Seorak worth a stop in Gapyeong?
We went without much expectation since it just happened to be near The Stay Healing Park, but the meal turned out really satisfying. We visited as part of a sponsored campaign, but paid for our extra orders ourselves, and it was worth every won.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat near Gapyeong IC, or hunting for a good spot after an outing with kids at The Stay Healing Park, this place is worth a stop. If you want charcoal-grilled dakgalbi paired with generous, delicious banchan, I'd go back again.
