The hair salon I visit every two months after getting a bob
Ever since getting a bob, I go to the salon about once every two months. I try to color it as little as possible, but after around a month and a half, it starts looking bothersome.
When I had a bob before, I always got perms to keep the volume. They say it is fine with good care, but my hair is on the fine side, and repeating color plus perms damages it so much. These days I am also concerned about hair loss, so I cannot go as far as getting perms for the sake of protecting it. This time, I added care to make the coloring as low-damage as possible.

A Juan hair salon since 1999: Naple Hair Juan Seokbawi Intersection Branch
A spacious, bright salon
It is a salon that has held its spot for nearly 30 years, yet its brand renewal and stylish interior keep it feeling fresh.

The space is split on either side of the stairs, and it is quite large. The view through the floor-to-ceiling windows is wonderfully bright.

My grown-out gray roots and color before coloring
Gray roots grown out in just under two months... My hair also felt stuffy, so I decided to trim it a little. While checking the color, they said it was slightly patchy and recommended an all-over color next time.

Iced coffee, yakgwa, and the gray-root color begins

There were lots of coffee, tea, and juice options, but I was groggy, so I asked for iced coffee. Since it was morning and I needed some sugar, I also nibbled on yakgwa (Korean honey cookies). Gray-root color, start!

They sprayed on a scalp protectant, covered my hairline to prevent staining, and applied the color.

Rather than having a staff member do it, my assigned stylist handled everything in one go: color, shampoo, clinic treatment, finishing cut, and blow-dry. I liked that even more. Since the salon is large, there are several designers, and customers of many ages come in too. It did not feel too young or too old. The person who worked on me that day was Manager Yeo-jin.

Now it was time to wait around 30 minutes. I used my phone in the cushy chair, then headed to the shampoo room.

A Renaissance premium clinic treatment after coloring
After rinsing out the color and shampooing, I had the clinic treatment too. The Renaissance clinic treatment is a premium post-color treatment. Even with good color products, coloring itself is bound to cause damage. Especially for someone like me who colors often, diligent care is necessary.
Even though I only do the roots, they grow out and move downward eventually, so all of my hair is colored hair at this point... Thanks to doing the clinic treatment thoroughly along with the color this time, there was no hair damage after coloring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally recommend coloring with a clinic treatment... It would be even better every time, but I resolved to make sure I combine them at least every second or third visit.
Once you lose your hair quality, restoring it is even harder than repairing damaged skin—it takes far too much time and money. And even after all that, you are lucky if it can be restored at all. So it is important to keep it from getting worse in the first place. Your forties are all about the lid, you know... My hair is far too precious!
For the premium clinic treatment, they briskly shampoo with a nourishing clinic shampoo, do a protein treatment, and leave it for a while. You simply wait while reclined in the chair. They say the treatment improves damaged hair by taking sufficient time and steps to balance oil and moisture, dissolve chemical residue, and supply nutrients. Okay, clinic treatment done! Back to the chair for the cut.
A cut that made my heavy bob feel lighter
My hair was not especially long to begin with, but when I said I wanted a cut, they asked in detail what sort of feel I wanted. “It feels a little heavy to you, then?” My hair felt flat, limp, and stuffy, so I asked for a lighter cut.

They checked everything carefully and even styled it. Since I had the clinic treatment, they did not use a flat iron or blow-dry. I keep saying I will get a volume straightening treatment for my curly bangs, then forget every time I come to the salon.... The stylist asked me about it, and I remembered again. Next time!!!!!!
A calm colored bob without a flat iron

Because of the clinic treatment, it looks calmer. There was no blow-dry or flat iron. I do not usually blow-dry or use a flat iron, yet my hair still sits nicely without them!! The color also came out to match my existing hair color well. Gray-root color starts out a little dark and gradually gets lighter.
Davines discounts and points service

Oh, wait! I spotted something familiar: Davines, which I used so well for ages through a group buy! I had wondered why I had not seen it in group buys lately; apparently it is now sold at Shinsegae. It is an Italian premium hair-care brand said to be famous as a favorite of the Shinsegae family. Eco-friendly global brand Davines pursues sustainable beauty as a high-performance brand, and it is available at 20% off at every Naple Hair branch. Davines is really good. I had been away from it for a while, so it was nice to see it again.

At Naple Hair, you can earn and use Dodo Points on your payment amount.

They support Save the Children, too.
A place thoughtful enough to include friend-referral discount coupons

They give you an eco bag and even a real clover, plus the thoughtful touch of discount coupons for people who visit through a referral!
My overall thoughts after gray-root color, clinic treatment, and a cut

Since the price for gray-root color, a hair clinic treatment, and a cut was reasonable, I did not expect much from the facilities, but I was satisfied with both the products used and the service quality. There is a reason treatment clients kept coming in even on a weekday afternoon—this is a Juan hair salon I plan to revisit.
