I went to Fruit Forest, the mango bingsu spot that's hot in Paju these days. They had incredible mangoes there! No wonder it's blowing up on SNS. I finally made it!

This used to be a café building I'd visited before, but it's changed into Fruit Forest now, haha. It's become famous as a Paju mango bingsu spot — super hot on Instagram lol. I stopped by for dessert after eating nearby.

Is parking convenient?

There's a shaded parking lot underneath the building and parking space in front too. They said if that's full, you can park at the Tteurak restaurant next door. Parking shouldn't be a worry.

The café is on the 2nd floor, but unfortunately you have to take the stairs. There's no elevator, so make sure you know that beforehand!

How do they pick the fruit?

They said they go to the very first auction every dawn and personally look over the fruit, picking the ones with the highest sugar content. That's probably why the fruit looked so fresh and delicious.

Atmosphere and seating

It's a Paju dessert spot near Simhaksan with a decent amount of seating. Not a huge café, but there's plenty of seats. The view through the floor-to-ceiling windows was pretty too. There were lots of customers even on a weekday — definitely a popular Paju mango bingsu spot.

There's a cute Fruit Forest illustration with a rabbit drawing! This is definitely a photo zone lol. The name already sounds like a fairy tale, and the illustration is so cute it's right up my alley.

You can also buy mangoes to take home

The fridge was packed full of mangoes. This really is mango heaven, haha. Besides mangoes, they had other fruit too, available for purchase to take home. That shows how confident they are in the quality.

Ripening is really important for mangoes too, and at Fruit Forest you can eat perfectly ripened mango or take it home. Personally, I found gold mango way tastier than apple mango!

Menu and the opening 1+1 event

There were 6 kinds of bingsu, so plenty of variety. As an opening event, they're running a fresh mango bingsu plus fresh banana milk 1+1 deal. It's such a great deal that everyone seemed to be ordering the fresh mango bingsu!

Besides bingsu and juice, there was a good variety of desserts too. Malrenka cake, mont blanc, waffles, churros, banana brûlée, and more. Everything looked delicious, so it'd be hard to pick just one!

Signature fresh mango bingsu, shared by 3 people

I ordered the signature fresh mango bingsu. Fresh mango covered every side of the bingsu and it looked so pretty. They thoughtfully gave us extra plates too, which made it easy to portion out. The plates themselves were pretty, good for photos too!

They scraped up the leftover mango flesh after cutting it and gave it to us like a mango sauce! They said if it feels lacking while eating, drizzle that on top. Since there was already so much mango on there, it wasn't lacking at all.

Since it was real fresh mango, it was incredibly sweet and delicious. It was so well ripened that the sweetness and soft texture were great. I think kids and parents alike would love this.

There was so much mango piled on that even split between 3 people, the portion was just right. The ice cream on top is mango flavored too, but it's on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend eating the mango first and the ice cream later!

Final thoughts

I noticed all the staff were men! They were hiring too, lol. This was my review of Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store, famous as a Paju mango bingsu spot. The mango was incredibly sweet and delicious, and being able to buy hand-selected, high-sugar fresh fruit directly was such a nice touch.
