Moraenae Market's must-try sushi, takeout from Moraenae Market.
Ending the market run with Moraenae Market sushi
Today I went grocery shopping with my mom at Moraenae Market, and after buying fruits and vegetables, what's the finishing move? Takeout from Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang Moraenae Market Branch, the sushi spot everyone raves about in Moraenae Market, and eating it up deliciously at home.
I first had Minyeong Hwareo as takeout while watching a baseball game at Munhak Stadium, and it was seriously delicious. Ever since then, whenever I tag along with my mom to Moraenae Market, I always stop by Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang, hehehe.

Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang is located about halfway through Moraenae Market.

So how much does the sushi cost?
Can you believe you can get sushi for ₩8,000?? In this era of sky-high prices, you can feel ₩8,000 worth of happiness!!!!
From left, garlic shrimp sushi, mantis squid sushi, and fresh salmon roll were ₩8,000, while eel sushi and soy sauce shrimp sushi were ₩9,000. Eel sushi for ₩9,000, does that even make sense!!!!!! Mouth-watering!!!!!!!
And fried tofu sushi and egg sushi are ₩6,000 — honestly, even at buffets I always go for fried tofu sushi and egg sushi.

From mixed sushi platters to single-serving sashimi
There was garlic salmon, fresh salmon, aged kimchi flounder, large flounder, and also mixed sushi platters to try a variety hahahaha. The mixed shrimp sushi had raw shrimp, garlic shrimp, grilled shrimp — a nice range — and Moraenae sushi had a different lineup piece by piece, which I liked. The special sushi and omakase sushi were both solid across the board, hehe.
There was also single-serving sashimi and flounder sashimi, perfect if you want raw fish with a drink~

On top of that, they even had mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) hahahaha. On hot days like these, you crave something cool and tangy like mulhoe.

Packing with a cold bag and ice pack included
The original Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang is in Yeonan Pier, but I love that I don't have to go all the way there — I can enjoy the same great taste right near home in Moraenae Market.
I bought 3 packs, and no matter how many you buy, they always pack it in a cold bag with an ice pack, no exceptions ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Wait, good-value sushi AND a cold bag plus ice pack??! I'm actually about to go on a dessert-spot sweep soon and needed a cold bag, so I'll be taking this one along, hehehe.

And true to being in Moraenae Market, you can pay with Onnuri gift certificates too.

They also give you soup — pour it into a paper cup, add hot water, and the sushi plus soup combo is amazing hahahaha.

The three sushi I picked
Omakase sushi turned out to be the popular item. Of course, of course~~
After much deliberating over what to pick, I went with beef tartare sushi, raw shrimp sushi, and flounder sushi ^__________^ I love it so much.

Into the cold bag,

they packed the ice pack and the soup too.

Wow~~ Honestly, if you order sushi delivery or eat at a restaurant, the price tends to be a bit steep, but taking it out from Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang in Moraenae Market got me great value even in these high-price times.

Thanks to the ice pack, it didn't melt or wilt on the way home and arrived still fresh.

How the beef tartare, flounder, and raw shrimp sushi tasted
The beef tartare sushi has savory beef tartare on top with sauce already drizzled on, so it's delicious even without dipping it in soy sauce separately.

Chewy and clean flounder sushi, properly delivering that mild flavor and umami~~

You know it's shrimp season these days. The plump shrimp on top of the raw shrimp sushi just melted in my mouth piece by piece ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ So happy~

Wasabi, soy sauce, and soup all came included. The sashimi is fresh, the sushi is delicious, and even the seasoning on the rice is perfect at Minyeong Hwareo Gongjang Moraenae Market Branch!
