Human-hair lash extensions 8-9mm C-curl at Lashdol, Gangnam Station
In short
Lashdol Gangnam Station is a lash extension studio in Gangnam, Seoul, five minutes from Exit 4 of Gangnam Station. After a style survey, the stylist applied 8-9mm human-hair lashes in a C-curl with LED bonding in 30-40 minutes, giving a result so natural people asked 'did you get a perm?'. For a first lash extension that isn't overdone, the human-hair C-curl combo at Lashdol Gangnam Station was a solid, low-risk choice.

Lately I've been low-key annoyed at how much time I spend every morning with an eyelash curler and mascara. So I finally got lash extensions for the first time, and the result turned out so natural I'm sharing my Gangnam Station lash extension review! This time I visited Lashdol Gangnam Station.

Being close to Exit 4 of Gangnam Station made it easy to get to.
It's autumn now, so the day was clear and cool, but the sun was still brutally hot ☀ (parasol essential!!)

You might get lost on your first visit
That said, it's located inside a commercial section of an officetel building with lots of units, so if it's your first visit, I'd recommend checking the unit numbers as you go. Just head into the building and follow the signs to the elevator!

I actually wandered around for about 10 minutes before finally calling them lol. I found unit 117 marked on the directory, but it turned out to be in the basement, B1...! When I took the elevator up to the first floor, I spotted 'Lashdol' near the sign that said [Arcade] and walked in relieved.
Here's the funny-but-not-funny part... after going in and looking for Lashdol, I ended up right back where the elevator was? I'd walked in a full circle~~ Turns out if you get off the elevator and turn left, it's right there — no need to go back outside lol.

How does the pre-treatment consultation work?

The first thing that happened at the salon was the consultation. Instead of the stylist just asking 'How many mm do you want?' and diving straight in, she went through an organized survey-style sheet, checking off the vibe I wanted and my usual makeup style.

She walked through whether I wanted a natural look or a more defined one, and how much length felt comfortable, step by step — I think even a total first-timer could get through this consultation without any stress. I told her I wanted a natural style, more like 'someone who was just born with pretty lashes' rather than a flashy look, and she recommended 8-9mm human-hair lashes in a C-curl. Looking at my lashes, she said they didn't droop downward and were straight or upward-facing, so a C-curl would suit me. Here's a shot of my eyes right before the treatment.
Inside the shop and human-hair + LED pricing
Once inside there were indoor slippers and a counter, and the vanity had lash material samples on display.

She recommended going with 'human hair' so I said 'sure~' and went along with it, but honestly, with all the abbreviations flying around these days I first thought it meant 'synthetic hair'... lol. Since there was no discomfort even after the treatment, I kept thinking about it and eventually realized on my own it literally meant 'human' hair haha. After the treatment I totally understood why people pay more for human hair!!!

I considered doing the lower lashes too, but figured it might be too much, so I passed..! Now that it's done, it looks just like natural lashes, so I think skipping that was the right call~
Can I come with makeup already on?
There's a separate cleansing room here, so it was fine to visit already wearing makeup. I only had sunscreen on, but apparently even if you arrive with makeup, they clean around your eyes beforehand and wipe carefully again before starting. That would be convenient if you need to go straight there before or after an appointment.

I lay down on the bed below and the treatment began :)

Treatment time and how it felt right after
My own lashes aren't super sparse, but the length and curl are uneven, so without makeup my eyes look a bit flat. So this time, rather than exaggerating length, I chose to go with a curl that would make my eyes look more defined.
The treatment took about 30-40 minutes. Lying comfortably, it felt like it ended faster than I expected! Also, since it used LED bonding, there was no waiting around for drying — the lamp cures it instantly, so there was no stinging in my eyes either :) Ta-da, here's how it looked right after!

Right after the treatment there was almost no heavy droopy feeling or foreign-object sensation, and when I opened my eyes, it didn't look overly extended either, which I loved. It's day 4 now and I think about 4-5 lashes have come off, but there's no visible gap! I did catch myself rubbing my eyes half-asleep one night and suddenly remembered what the stylist said — gasped and quietly put my hand down and went back to sleep..!! ^^
Before and after: the 8-9mm C-curl result
With the 8-9mm C-curl, my eyes looked naturally more defined. Instead of that obvious 'I got lash extensions!' look, people around me actually asked 'did you get a perm?' — that's how natural the result was.
What I especially liked is that even with my eyes closed, the curl sits up neatly, and from the front it doesn't look heavy or overdone. I think this style would suit someone who doesn't wear heavy makeup often, or anyone who wants to simplify their morning makeup routine before work.
If you're looking for natural lash extensions near Gangnam Station, I'd recommend somewhere that consults carefully on the style you actually want. If you're after a natural extension look like mine, I recommend the 8-9mm human-hair C-curl combo! (First-timers should be fine just going through a consultation with the stylist first~)
Lash extension aftercare tips
- When washing your face, don't rub around your eyes — just pat dry gently
- Avoid oil cleansers, makeup removers, and greasy eye creams near your eyes
- Avoid steamy environments like saunas, jjimjilbangs, swimming, or hot showers on the first day
- Sleeping face-down or rubbing your lashes will reduce how long they last
- Skip mascara and lash curlers if possible; if needed, brush gently upward from below with a spoolie
One special thing about Lashdol — paid retouches are unlimited! (40% off within 2 weeks / 30% off within 3 weeks) A lot of other places only allow one paid retouch, so having unlimited retouches makes it feel much less stressful to come back!
