Heading to Salon de L in Wangsimni with hair worn down by repeated dyeing and perming

I dye and perm my hair regularly! I wish long black straight hair suited me, but honestly, dyeing and perming are pretty much required for my face shape and skin tone 🥹 Even using good products and keeping up home care, there's only so much you can do on your own, so I went to Salon de L in Wangsimni, known for being great at both scalp clinics and hair clinics! Let me show you how it went 🤗🤗

Salon de L is located on the 2nd floor of Tenzhill Mall in Wangsimni. It's easy to find from either Sinseol-dong or Sangwangsimni station, and the mall's parking lot is spacious, so accessibility is really good 👏👏

The moment I walked in, the warm interior put me at ease. The mix of wood tones and browns made it feel like I'd walked into a café 🤎

There's plenty of waiting space too, so you can relax comfortably. The whole salon felt clean and pleasant.

And here's the shampoo room!! The shampoo chair was comfy and the lighting was dim, so I got to lie back and rest the whole time I was getting shampooed 🥰🥰

Prices

From the director to the head stylist to the stylists, everyone here has completed serious professional training. Even with such a strong lineup of talent, the prices were reasonable, which I loved 👍👍 There are plenty of hair salons in Wangsimni, but it's rare to find one that nails both skill and price haha. Salon de L is the best!!

How does the scalp clinic & Tricyscore process work?

Just like a café, they have a variety of drinks on the menu — order whatever you like and they'll bring it out with snacks 🍪 The service was great and the staff were all so kind, so I felt good the whole time I was getting treated.

Scalp diagnosis

Before starting the actual care, they used a scalp diagnostic scanner to carefully check my current scalp condition. My scalp appeared right there on a mirror-monitor screen, making it easy to see parts I normally can't check myself. My scalp turned out to be sensitive and my hair on the thin side. There were quite a few little bumps between hairs, and my scalp was red ㅠㅠ

Once the real treatment starts, they give you this little cushion, which is surprisingly comfy and soft haha. I got attached to it lol

Scalp scaling

They applied a cooling scalp scaling product all over. Stylist Hansol also did some skillful acupressure, and all the fatigue built up in my scalp melted away in one go haha.

Steam care

To soften up old buildup on the scalp and lock in moisture, they used a mist machine ♨️ It was pouring rain and chilly that day, so having warm steam blowing continuously loosened up my whole body and made me drowsy haha. A real moment of healing.

Scalp massage

They gave a scalp massage too, and every corner of my scalp felt clean and refreshed!! This part was my favorite 😘🫶🫶

Keratin supply

They also fed plenty of keratin into the cuticles. Supplying nutrients to hair is a must!!

My hair before, basically a broom that wouldn't even comb through lol. Can you tell how dry and frizzy it looks even in a photo 🥲 My crown was even a bit sparse and thin, and my hair had zero life to it. Both my scalp and my hair were in serious trouble 😈

This is my hair after the whole process. I gasped the moment I saw it — do you see that silky angel ring?! It honestly looked like idol hair haha. I can't believe a hair clinic can work this well — Tricyscore care is seriously the best 😍❤️

Why I want to book again

Stylist Hansol at Salon de L took care of me from start to finish, reading my scalp and hair condition at a glance and paying close attention throughout the whole process — I felt so well looked after >_< Since a clinic treatment isn't a one-time thing and the effects really double when done regularly, I'm planning to book again next time haha.
