Kid-friendly Jeonju café with baby chairs and room-style seats

On this trip to Jeonju, we visited Caundry with the kids, a Jeonju café with real character tucked into a quiet alley :) It's near Jeonju Station and Jeonbuk National University Hospital, a cozy café made from a renovated house.

Where Caundry is, plus parking and opening hours

Caundry is a café at 10-37 Geonji 4-gil, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk (1532-8 Inhu-dong 2-ga). It's open from 10:30 to 24:00, with last order at 23:30.

This café near Jeonbuk National University Hospital doesn't have its own parking lot, so we parked in the alley in front and walked in.

Inside Caundry: a house turned wood-toned café

The moment we stepped into Caundry, the warm, deep wood-toned interior gave the whole space a cozy feel.

The interior was filled with dark wood tones throughout, which made the whole space feel really snug and comfortable. There were bar-style seats as well as tables you could sit side by side at. It's hard to find cafés open this late, but this one runs until midnight.

The space was full of antique little objects everywhere, so it was fun just looking around.

Coming into the section near the counter, the wide windows looking out onto lush green trees made such a great combination. The interior walls were a vintage white-brick finish, giving the space a bright yet charming, sentimental mood.

Caundry was the kind of café with character that made it fun to photograph every corner of.

Room-style seating and baby chairs for families

In one corner of Caundry there was a space with no walls, but designed to feel private, like a separate room. The chairs, in a lovely design, were spaced out roomily, making it a cozy spot perfect for a relaxed chat or a cup of tea. We stayed here with the kids.

There were wooden baby chairs available too, which seemed like it would make visiting with young children much easier.

The second floor and Caundry's wide outdoor terrace

Caundry also has stairs connecting to a second floor, so we went up to take a look.

Since it's a café made from a renovated house, the outdoor terrace space was also generously wide. The sun's still blazing so it's hot outside right now, but once fall comes, it seems like it'd be perfect for a coffee outdoors with a breeze.

Caundry's menu and how to order at the kiosk

Here's Caundry's menu. There's coffee, cold brew, tea, and desserts, and you order at the kiosk across from the counter.

What we ordered at Caundry: honey grapefruit black tea ₩8,000, cookies and cream shake ₩8,000, honey lassi milk juicy strawberry ₩8,000, and an iced americano ₩5,000 — four drinks total. You can choose the beans for the americano, which coffee lovers will probably appreciate. I like coffee without acidity, so I picked a nuttier bean.

With a receipt review at Caundry in Jeonju, you get one madeleine for ₩500. Scan the QR code, write a receipt review, and show it to staff to get the deal. It seems like a great dessert to pair with your coffee :)

How the four drinks at Caundry tasted

All four drinks arrived — honey grapefruit black tea, cookies and cream shake, honey lassi milk juicy strawberry, and iced americano. I usually love grapefruit black tea, and Caundry's version had that appealing, strong grapefruit flavor. The lassi juicy and the cookies and cream shake were both really rich, and the kids loved them.
