I found Caundry (카운드리) while looking for a quiet, atmospheric café near Jeonju Station. It's tucked into an alley in Injeon-dong, Jeonju, and since it's a renovated house turned into a café, the vibe hits you the moment you walk in. Especially these days when big cafés get so crowded, I find myself drawn to this kind of cozy Jeonju café where you can just sit and relax with a coffee.

Caundry opened in 2019 as a house-renovation café. Being set back in an alley, the surroundings are fairly quiet, and the café itself has such a cozy atmosphere that it's easy to settle in and stay a while.

During my daytime visit it was a great spot to relax with a warm coffee, but looking around, I could tell that once the lighting shifts at night, the whole mood must get even better. It seems like a comfortable place to visit alone for a light drink too, so if you're looking for a Jeonju pub for solo drinking, this could be a good option.

With the wood-tone interior, soft lighting, and rows of wine and liquor bottles on display, this was personally a café I'd want to come back to in the evening.

The staff hold Barista Grade 1 and 2 certifications along with baking and confectionery craftsman certifications, and keep researching how to make better coffee and desserts. They also bake fresh handmade cookies and desserts daily, so next time I'd like to try the desserts too.

The ciabatta sandwich (chiabata sandwichi) also looked like a nice, simple meal option.
