I was able to fully explain the vibe I wanted, and rather than just following my request exactly, it felt like she was working with me to find a direction that would actually suit my eyes.

I wanted something that made my eyes look defined without being over the top — overall a style that would match my face well — and I loved that she suggested options with that in mind. Lash length and curl alone can change your whole impression quite a bit, so having a thorough consultation before starting made me feel a lot more at ease.

How flat lash extensions changed my daily eye look

What I chose at On The Boutique this time was flat lash extensions. Lash extensions definitely make your eyes look more defined, but if they end up too heavy or dramatic, they can feel like a lot for everyday wear.

This time the design was set up to naturally suit my eyes, so overall it felt clean but still clearly defined. What I loved most was that my lashes looked so much fuller when my eyes were open that I didn't need heavy eye makeup for my eyes to stand out.

I was especially happy that the lashes looked naturally connected whether I looked from the side or straight on. This is probably why people keep coming back once they try lash extensions, haha.

Being able to cut down on the morning curler-and-mascara routine is also a big plus for me personally! I think it'd be great to get done before a trip or an important event too.

On The Boutique offers a long retouch window of up to 3 weeks after the extension service, and retouches cost 30,000 won. Aftercare really matters once you've gotten lash extensions.

In everyday life, some lashes naturally fall out over time, so I liked that there's a retouch window of up to 3 weeks. You can get a retouch based on how things look before going in for a full new set, which seems great for anyone who wants to keep up with maintenance regularly.

Naver booking discount and repeat-visit events

On The Boutique takes bookings through Naver Reservation, so it was easy to check available dates and times and book in advance.

There's also a discount for booking through Naver Reservation, and since they're open every day, it's worth noting that you can visit whenever fits your schedule, whether that's a weekday or weekend.

They're currently running some events too — 3,000 won off for repeat visits and 5,000 won in credit for referring a friend — so if you're planning to keep up with lash maintenance, it's worth keeping in mind.

What I liked most was that instead of just going all-out flashy from the start, she looked at my eye shape and existing lashes, consulted with me on the design, and reflected the vibe I wanted to create a natural result.
