Where is TONI&GUY Daechi, and what are the hours?
Today I'm introducing TONI&GUY Daechi, a hair salon near Hanti Station! It's open daily from 10am to 9pm, closed on public holidays.
TONI&GUY Daechi is close to Hanti Station Exit 1! It's near the Yeoksam Raemian apartment complex. It's on the 6th floor of the building you see in the photo!
They're also running an autumn thermal perm discount event, so if it's about time for a thermal perm, keep this in mind!
The business hours are posted right inside the store like this! Starting in September, they'll open at 9am on weekdays — apparently it's a trial run so it might change!
I took the elevator up, and you just go to the 6th floor! As soon as you step off the elevator, TONI&GUY Daechi is right there!

Here's the interior of TONI&GUY Daechi! This is the waiting area. I visited by reservation, and after a bit of waiting, my designer came out and gave me a hair consultation first! The consultation was thorough and friendly from the start, which made it easier to decide how to do the treatment!
Here's the treatment area! There were a lot of customers getting all dolled up even in the morning!
The interior mostly had a white, clean vibe! It was nice to see the staff being gentle and friendly, chatting with customers as they served them!
Here are the lockers! I didn't have to touch them myself — my designer took care of my personal belongings.
Membership discounts and welcome tea at TONI&GUY Daechi
TONI&GUY Daechi also runs a membership system! It seems to be a prepay structure where you pay in advance to get a discount! If you pay for a membership on your first visit, you get 30% off! Color and clinic treatments are 50% off!

They gave me corn silk tea as a welcome drink! I usually just drink plain water, but the corn silk tea was sweet and nutty and really tasty!
Here's Designer Dayoung, who helped me out today! She was recently promoted to designer, and apparently there's an event where perm, color, and clinic treatments are 50% off! Cut and blow-dry also get ₩5,000 off!

Designer Dayoung was super kind and checked in on everything one by one during the treatment, which I really appreciated! She even gave me a cushion to cover my belly, haha.
While waiting during the perm, they brought me something to drink too! I ordered plum tea! They served it with snacks like this! Thank you~!
Here's the shampoo room! There are 3 shampoo chairs total! One of them has a massage function, so I got to enjoy a nice massage while getting shampooed!

The men's cut and down perm, step by step in 1 hour 20 minutes
Here's what I looked like before the treatment! The total treatment time was about 1 hour 20 minutes! I got a down perm and a cut! I requested a 2:8 side part style!

My hair is super straight so it looked shaggy and messy!
They did the cut first! They attached some kind of plastic guard to my forehead so cut hair wouldn't fall on my face — it was really convenient, haha!
Cut done, now doing the down perm!
After applying the down perm solution, they used this heating device for about 5 minutes, haha!
Next they applied the neutralizer! They kept checking on my condition while applying it too, which I appreciated, haha!
Now the last step, shampoo! They even threw in a nourishing mask as a free service!
How did the down perm look on strong straight hair?
The left is after the treatment! Compared to the right, how does it look?! Personally I'm super satisfied, haha! They really pressed the sides down flat, but because my hair is so strongly straight, it lifts a bit no matter what, haha.
Still, huge thanks to Designer Dayoung for turning my messy hair into a clean look! I was so happy she styled it exactly the way I wanted!
The back of my hair was messy too, but she finished it up super neatly!
