Yeouido tteokbokki restaurant, extra-spicy set tamed by a rice ball
In short
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a Korean snack restaurant in Yeouido, Seoul, right beside the moving walkway in the underground passage between Yeouido Station and IFC Mall. The Hyeonseoni set at 23,000 won brings extra-spicy tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sundae (blood sausage), mixed fried snacks, a rice ball and fish cake broth on one tray, and the spicy level tastes about as hot as Yeoptteok, so the seaweed-and-mayo rice ball works as a cooler. If you can handle real heat, Hyeonseonine Premium is a good-value Yeouido snack stop.

Where is Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch, and what are the hours?
23 Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, B2 IFC Mall Hours: Weekdays 11:00–21:00 / Weekends 12:00–21:00 No parking, takeout and delivery available

I visited Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch, a Yeouido tteokbokki spot located right beside the underground moving walkway on the way from Yeouido Station into IFC Mall. No parking, but since it's connected by one corridor to the subway station, IFC Mall, and The Hyundai Seoul, it's a great snack restaurant to pair with a Yeouido date course! Plus everything's indoors, so it's perfect for a rainy day or bad weather.

Inside Hyeonseonine Premium: interior and seating
Inside Hyeonseonine, seating is generously laid out, and there's also outdoor table seating right by the entrance. It's also close to Yeouinaru Hangang Park, so it seems like a good spot to get takeout for a picnic.

Menu: regular tteokbokki or instant tteokbokki at the table?
The menu covers tteokbokki, sundae (blood sausage), fried snacks, gimbap (seaweed rice roll), ramyeon and more, plus a variety of set menus. What I especially liked: you can choose between regular tteokbokki and instant (jeuk-tteok) style depending on your taste! If you like adding various sari (extra ingredients) and boiling it yourself, the instant style is the way to go.

What comes in the 23,000 won Hyeonseoni set
The Hyeonseoni set comes out full and hearty enough to cover the whole table! You get red tteokbokki that smells spicy the moment it arrives, glossy and moist sundae, crispy mixed fried snacks, a savory rice ball topped with plenty of dried seaweed flakes, and even a big bowl of fish cake broth.

Tteokbokki ordered on its own is ₩6,000, with a thick, rich sauce and a generous amount of rice cake and fish cake.

How spicy is the extra-spicy tteokbokki?
You could choose mild, medium, or spicy, and since I usually go for spicy food, I went with the spicy option!

Chewy rice cake soaked in a rich, spicy sauce that numbs your mouth! 🔥🔥 The heat seems to build the further you go, in a way that's addictive and hard to stop eating. If I had to compare it, the spice level felt about on par with Yeoptteok.

Cooling the heat with the seaweed-mayo rice ball
Whenever the tteokbokki felt too spicy, pairing it with the rice ball, loaded with seaweed flakes and mayo, mellowed the heat while still tasting great together.

Sundae (blood sausage) and the self-serve bar
A hearty plate of sundae topped generously with offal.

The sundae had no off odor and was moist and soft, delicious eaten plain, but dipping it in the spicy tteokbokki sauce was also amazing.

Salt, soy sauce, and pickled radish to go with your meal are set out at the self-serve bar, free to use as you like.

Which fried snacks come with the set?
The fried snacks in the Hyeonseoni set include gimmari (seaweed roll), vegetable fritter, sweet potato fritter, and squid fritter, all served together, and the batter was especially crispy, which made it even better.

The thick, chunky squid inside the crispy fritter was the standout. It really seems like a great spot for crispy-outside-tender-inside fritters alongside spicy tteokbokki! The vegetable fritter was also so good I'll keep thinking about it.
Final verdict on Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch
If you're normally confident with spicy food, this spicy tteokbokki is worth trying! A generously packed set that delivers on both taste and value. If you're looking for a good snack restaurant in Yeouido, Hyeonseonine's Yeouido branch is worth a visit.
