Garlic shrimp poke at Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch, the featured dish

Hey everyone! Why does salad taste so much better when it's not made at home? Today Eolleong-i (the blogger) visited Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch in Yeouido. And honestly, the salad here is genuinely fresh. Haha, the name literally means "fresh fresh salad," and the vegetables actually lived up to it.

I'm secretly picky about vegetable condition. When a salad goes wrong, the vegetables can have that particular fishy off-taste, and my sensitive taste buds catch it instantly... but here, there was none of that at all. Felt like I finally found a proper healthy poke spot in Yeouido, haha.

How to get to Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch: 5 minutes from Yeouido Station

Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch is about a 5-minute walk from Exit 5 of Yeouido Station. Walk a bit from the station and among the many restaurants you'll find the Baeksang Building!

Ta-da, an open kitchen! When you can see the whole kitchen like this, doesn't it just make you trust the place more?!

I visited around 7pm. At that hour there were no other customers, so I could eat comfortably by myself. Meanwhile, delivery orders kept coming in the whole time I was eating. Ding-ding, non-stop, haha. Guess the word's already out that it's good. The store itself isn't big, but it's clean and tidy overall.

Since it's mostly 2-person tables, going in alone isn't awkward at all. Seems like a solid option for anyone near the office looking for solo dining salad spots in Yeouido.

They also provide candy and tissues. I wasn't sure what that other thing was at first, but looking closer, it was a phone stand, haha. They provide phone stands too, so solo diners, take note!!!

Looking at the menu board, there's actually way more variety than expected. For poke and rice bowls, there's avocado salmon poke, garlic shrimp poke, chicken breast salad bowl, smoked duck salad bowl, chicken thigh salad bowl, and more.

For pasta salads, there's garlic aglio e olio pasta salad, basil pasta salad, buldak (fire chicken) pasta salad, and more!! It's a salad shop, but there are plenty of choices for anyone in Yeouido looking for pasta for lunch too!!!

Regular salads let you choose by protein too — sous vide chicken breast salad, sous vide flap steak salad, avocado salmon salad, and so on. There's also chicken breast wraps, avocado salmon wraps, sweet pumpkin cream soup, mushroom cream soup, and even drinks like fresh-pressed juice and Dutch coffee.

If you're craving rice, go for the poke. Want something lighter, go for a salad. Want something different, there's pasta salad. Plenty of options.

How much is the weekday lunch at Singsing Salad Yeouido? 10,900 won by day

Good news for the office workers here!! Singsing Salad has a different discounted lunch menu each weekday. This wasn't just written small somewhere — when I visited, it was posted like a poster on the wall and also displayed prominently outside the store. The moment I saw it, I thought, ah, they're really serious about lunch business, haha.

  • Monday: Chicken breast salad bowl
  • Tuesday: Avocado salmon poke
  • Wednesday: Miso pork belly salad bowl
  • Thursday: Chicken thigh salad bowl
  • Friday: Smoked duck salad bowl

The lunch menu is ₩10,900. Considering typical lunch prices in Yeouido, that's a pretty good deal for anyone working nearby. Especially since the menu changes daily, it's easy to just check the day's special instead of agonizing over what to eat. Personally, if you're visiting Singsing Salad, I'd recommend checking the lunch discount menu first! That's a genuinely reasonable price for a Yeouido office lunch, don't you think?

Garlic shrimp poke, 12,500 won: a full meal on multigrain rice

Garlic shrimp poke with vegetables and shrimp over grain rice

Finally, the dish! What I ordered was the garlic shrimp poke for ₩12,500! I had a pretty light lunch that day, so I felt like I'd faint if I ate only greens for dinner too, haha. So I picked the poke with rice in it.

Having a fistful of rice mixed in rather than just salad definitely made it feel like a proper meal. Plus, it was grain rice, which I personally liked even more.

The menu description said it was slightly spicy. I like it when a salad has a bit of a spicy kick instead of being purely bland, and there was a nice bite here and there that kept it interesting all the way through.

Were the vegetables fresh? Singsing Salad lives up to its name

At first glance, the vegetables looked like they'd literally been harvested that day, haha. Just like the name Singsing Salad ("fresh fresh salad") promises, the vegetable condition was genuinely great.

As I mentioned, I'm a bit sensitive to that odd fishy taste vegetables get when they're not fresh. There was none of that here at all. Crisp and fresh, I enjoyed even the vegetables the whole way through the poke. Since I think a salad is basically half about vegetable condition, this place already scored high with me.

Spicy, sweet and cool all in one bowl

You know that sweetness that comes from well-cooked onions? That was so good. Sweet cooked onion, plus the sweet sauce drizzled over the grain rice, all in one bite — wait... this is good? Wait...??? Cue the "this is genuinely delicious" furrowed brow, haha. I'm the type whose eyebrows knit together involuntarily when something tastes really good.

Biting into the sweet crunch of onion among the crisp vegetables, together with the rice and sauce, was a really good combination. Since it's garlic shrimp, the shrimp condition matters too — and the shrimp was great. Springy texture, and its flavor didn't get lost even mixed in with the vegetables.

For the first few bites I thought, oh, not that spicy? But as I kept eating, I started thinking, huh, this is getting a little spicy.

Why Singsing Salad serves baek-kimchi with the garlic shrimp poke

That's when the baek-kimchi (white kimchi) that came with the dish came into play. At first I wondered, why would a salad place serve baek-kimchi? But once I tried it, ah, I get why.

When the garlic shrimp's spiciness starts to build a bit, a bite of cool, crisp baek-kimchi resets your palate completely. Then back to the poke. Then back to the kimchi. Then back to the poke. The loop begins, haha. The kimchi pairing is fantastic. It really worked well together, and it was one of the combinations that boosted my satisfaction with this meal.

Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch location, hours and ordering

Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch is at 1F, 110, 30 Gukjegeumyung-ro 6-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, about a 5-minute walk from Exit 5 of Yeouido Station.

  • Weekdays 10:00 - 21:00 (last order 20:30)
  • Saturday 11:00 - 20:00 (last order 19:30)
  • Closed on Sundays

I visited at 7pm when the store was quiet, but given how many offices there are in Yeouido, this seems like a place best suited for lunchtime. Especially since they run separate lunch discount menus, if you're visiting on a weekday for lunch, it's worth checking the day's special beforehand.

It's also a good spot for a clean, healthy meal before heading over to a café or IFC Mall.

Eolleong-i's verdict on Singsing Salad Yeouido Branch

For a salad to be good, the vegetables have to be good first. In that sense, Singsing Salad earns its reputation. The vegetables were genuinely fresh, just like the name promises, and the combination of springy shrimp, sweet cooked onion, rice with sweet sauce, a slight kick of spice, and the baek-kimchi was really well put together. When onions make you do the "this is really good" furrowed brow, that says it all, haha.

And beyond the poke I had, this place has a lot of options — salads, salad bowls, wraps, soups, and pasta salads — plus you can get a weekday lunch special for ₩10,900 depending on the day, which is another big plus!

If you're looking for healthy poke in Yeouido, a comfortable solo dining salad spot, or somewhere you can choose between salads and pasta for lunch all in one place, this is worth a visit. Laziness beats everything, but Eolleong-i beats laziness with tasty, healthy food.
