Side dishes including lettuce wraps and cabbage salad

Side dishes come as a full spread, and the yuzu pickled radish steals it

The side dishes come as a full spread — lots of variety, neatly arranged, which just puts you in a good mood. Cabbage salad, lettuce wraps, all the right things to eat alongside the meat. For me, the kicker here is the yuzu pickled radish! The subtle yuzu aroma makes it so good!

Three servings of whole fresh pork belly: thick enough to earn the name

Ta-da — whole pork belly, 3 servings! The meat is thick, so it really lives up to the 'whole pork belly' name, don't you think?

Staff grill the pork from start to finish

Above all, the standout feature of this Changwon Jung-dong pork restaurant is that the staff grill the meat completely from start to finish. All you have to do is eat happily!

The staff grill it to the perfect doneness and cut it into bite-sized pieces! Meat grilled by a true grilling expert really is different... so delicious...

Staff grilling pork belly on the grill plate

Once grilled, the pieces are neatly arranged on a separate spot on the warm grill plate — and the color alone is enough to make your mouth water! Such a well-grilled Changwon Jung-dong restaurant — they even grill the vegetables all together, perfect to eat alongside the meat.

First bite, dipped in the classic salt — pork belly that melts in your mouth. Anmin Jung-dong has a variety of sauces so you can mix and match to your own taste, which keeps it from getting boring.

White fried rice topped with snow-white cheese

White fried rice and steamed egg, the two sides to order

I'd never heard of 'white fried rice' before, so I ordered it out of curiosity — and it really is completely white! It's a cream-based fried rice piled high with snow-white cheese. The seasoning isn't too salty or heavy, but there's a subtle spiciness from the chili peppers mixed in, which keeps the white fried rice from getting tiresome. Savory and soft — really tasty.

We also ordered steamed egg to go with the white fried rice — perfectly seasoned and fluffy, so good! Gone in a flash!
