Jeju City coffee shop for con panna cream on canelé: Gluttony Coffee

Here's where I went today: the café near Jeju Airport I visit most often, Gluttony Coffee ✨. A junior colleague first told me about it two years ago, and the iced latte I had that day was so good that I dragged my boyfriend along the second time and a close senior colleague the third time, haha.

And this was already my fourth visit — I stopped by with my boyfriend after a meal last weekend 🤍. This time I visited through Superchart, but since I already loved this place, keeping a record of it was even more fun!

We came after a meal, but every time I've visited Gluttony Coffee, I've parked at the public lot right in front of the shop. It's free, so you can come by car without worrying about it 🙌🏻.

What Gluttony Coffee is like on a weekend afternoon ☕

We went on a weekend, and every seat was packed, so it wasn't exactly a quiet, hushed atmosphere.

It made me realize this must be a place the neighborhood consistently loves, haha. If you want to sit calmly for a long time, weekdays would feel more comfortable than weekends. Also, the owner I know is a man, but that day only female staff were working 👀.

Where to find the restroom at Gluttony Coffee 🚻

I liked that the restroom is inside the store.

You go through that mirrored door and keep going left, and there it is. First-timers might not find it right away, haha. Inside, it was pretty clean 🤍.

The espresso drinks come in small portions, so my boyfriend chose two, haha. Prices can vary depending on the menu, so check the in-store menu board!

Four visits in, the iced latte still wins 🤍

When a place lets you swap the milk, I almost always switch to oat. That nutty oat flavor meeting espresso is exactly my type.

So the first time I came, I just ordered it that way — and the coffee and milk didn't feel separate at all; the deep, nutty flavor really stood out to me.

The espresso that won over a boyfriend who avoids sweets

The stravazzato is the drink my boyfriend tried for the first time on our last visit and completely fell for.

He's not someone who enjoys sweet drinks, but he drank this happily. This time too, he finished both cups without leaving a drop, haha.

Tiramisu and canelé with con panna cream on top 🍮

I've had the tiramisu here before, so I confidently ordered it again. I'm not a fan of tiramisu with a sponge so soaked in coffee syrup that it goes mushy.

But the sponge here is just moist enough — exactly my taste 🤎.

This was my first time trying the canelé (a caramelized French pastry with a soft custard center). Crisp outside, chewy inside! I tried topping it with a bit of my boyfriend's con panna cream, and honestly, what a match! The bittersweet cream and the sweetness of the canelé locked together perfectly and it was an eye-opening bite 👀.

I eat dessert much better than rice (and about twice as fast, lol), so that day too I polished everything off in 30 minutes, lol.

The one drink that fell a little short

If there's one thing I felt slightly disappointed about, it's the iced latte. It didn't quite hit the nutty flavor I remembered from the first time. It could've been my taste buds that day, or it could vary depending on personal preference. Still, the coffee and milk blended just as well as before, so I'll probably order it again next time ☕.
