Jeju airport black pork dinner after a wedding photoshoot: Pork80
In short
Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a black pork BBQ restaurant on Noyeon-ro in Jeju City, Jeju. A couple who came to Jeju for wedding photos ended up on a food tour instead, trying the staff-grilled first cut with matcha salt, raw wasabi, and mel jorim (fermented anchovy braise), plus Pork Rice to finish. Close to the airport with easy parking, it's a solid pick for the first or last meal of a Jeju trip.

How a Jeju wedding photoshoot turned into a food tour
A genuinely no-regrets Jeju black pork BBQ spot 🤍 We came to Jeju for our wedding photoshoot, but somehow it turned into a food tour..?! haha The waves were too rough for any water activities, so our plans shifted bit by bit, and we figured, well, since we're here — let's just eat well!! So we've been eating, and eating more 🤣 My boyfriend insisted you have to eat black pork when you come to Jeju lol, so after a storm of searching for the best spot, we found this Jeju black pork restaurant!

Location and parking near Jeju airport
Best of all, it's near Jeju airport, so it's great to stop by at the start of a trip or for a delicious last meal of black pork before heading to the airport. Parking was easy, and the place was clean too, so it made a great first impression 🤍

They grill the first round for you
One of the best things was that they grill the first round of meat for you ⭐️ We didn't have to worry about the grilling and could just chat and enjoy the meal. The meat came out really thick-cut, and from the first look I knew this was the real deal haha

What about the side dishes?
Every single side dish was delicious, honestly moved me 🥺 Felt like we had a proper full meal 🫶 I reached for every side, but the thinly sliced onions especially stood out — they were so sweet. Eating a piece of meat with the onion together gave this crunchy-sweet combo, and I thought, yeah, meat and onion really is the best pairing!!

Following the recommended way to eat it
They had the recommended eating method written out, so I tried it step by step! For the first bite, of course, into the matcha salt. The outside was golden and crispy while the inside was tender and juicy — the texture was amazing. They recommend just salt for the first bite to really taste the meat itself, and I could definitely taste the clean, savory flavor of the pork on its own.

Raw wasabi, then mel jorim + grilled scallions
Next was with raw wasabi. A little wasabi on top added a sharp kick, and the pork's clean flavor came through in a different way. But the combo I found most delicious was mel jorim (fermented anchovy braise) + grilled scallions + black pork!! Dipping the meat deep into the mel jorim and eating it together with the grilled scallions — this combo is seriously good. The mel jorim, honestly... it's next-level. The meat was already delicious, but the mel jorim that came with it was so good that my boyfriend and I kept marveling at it. I was even surprised to hear my boyfriend tell the owner how good it was — he's usually the quiet type lol!! That's how good it was!!

The grilled scallions had this subtle sweetness and nice aroma that paired really well with the chewy black pork.
Finishing off with Pork Rice
For a side dish, we also tried the Pork Rice! Eating rice along with the meat instead of just meat alone made the meal feel more satisfying at the end.

Overall, the meat was delicious, the sides were delicious, and having them grill it for us made the whole meal so much more relaxed — very satisfying !! A genuinely great restaurant!!

In particular, eating the thick-cut meat in one bite gave a rich juiciness and really let me feel that distinctly chewy texture of Jeju pork 🤍

Would I come back?
If you're looking for a black pork BBQ restaurant near Jeju airport, it's Pork80. I'm saving this one to my restaurant list! I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Jeju 🤍 We came to Jeju for our wedding photoshoot planning to enjoy it to the fullest, and instead of water activities it turned into a food tour 😂 but eating our way around wasn't bad either, honestly kind of a happy way to travel. I guess when you come to Jeju, you really do have to eat black pork 🤍
