I went to Mekong Thai, a well-known spot in Naseong-dong, Sejong. I was craving pho and this place came to mind! The food came out fast, and the interior is spacious and comfortable, making it a great restaurant to visit in Naseong-dong.

Mekong Thai Sejong Naseong Branch is located at NS Building 2F, Units 204-205, 133-9 Naseong-ro, Sejong, South Korea. Hours are Mon-Sat 10:30-20:50, and Sunday 10:30-21:00, with parking available in the building.

It's located on the 2nd floor of the NS Building in the Naseong-dong dining alley. Parking is easy too, so it's convenient to visit! I went for an early lunch and was able to eat at a relaxed pace.

Naseong-dong favorite Mekong Thai has a spacious interior with lots of seating, so it's great for groups too. When I visited for lunch, so many office workers from nearby came in! The tables are spaced far apart, which I'd recommend even more.

If you come as a group, there are also room-like sections separated off, so it seems good for group gatherings or family meals too. At Mekong Thai in Naseong-dong, Sejong, you can order via QR code right at your seat. You can also select various options, which is convenient. We ordered a variety of dishes — cha gio, pho, and stir-fried noodles.

How the seafood cha gio and pho tasted at Mekong Thai

At Mekong Thai, the seafood cha gio (fried spring rolls) came out first and was light, making it a great appetizer. It went well with the other dishes too! ♥️

The broth was refreshing, and adding a bit of the dipping sauce made it even more delicious! The pho broth was clean yet fairly rich. It wasn't too intense or strongly spiced, so it's a flavor that's easy to enjoy without much divide in preference.

From the first spoonful of the hot broth, it had a subtle depth and savoriness that kept me coming back for more. The pho noodles were soft and easy to eat, and there was plenty of meat, making it a filling combination. In particular, since the broth isn't too heavy, it paired really well with richer dishes like the cha gio or stir-fried noodles. Even people who find strongly spiced pho difficult should be able to enjoy this without much worry! With the weather slowly turning cool these days, a hot bowl of pho really hit the spot.

Mekong Thai's stir-fried noodles are definitely more strongly seasoned than the pho — sweet and salty with a savory kick! Drizzling it with spicy sauce and a squeeze of lemon is delicious... I want to go back just for the stir-fried noodles.

The sauce was evenly coated on the noodles, so the flavor hit right from the first bite. The vegetables were stir-fried in as well, giving a nice crunchy texture here and there, and it had a completely different appeal from the pho. Since the pho broth is on the clean, light side, alternating it with the stir-fried noodles was a perfect combo,,!! If you eat only the stir-fried noodles, it can start to feel a bit heavy, but taking a sip of pho broth in between balanced it out nicely. If two people are visiting, ordering one pho and one stir-fried noodles to share sounds like a great combo too 😉

Every dish was clean-tasting and came out fast, which made Naseong-dong's Mekong Thai even better.

Overall, the dishes weren't too intense and were reliably delicious, making Mekong Thai a comfortable place for a meal.

I had a great meal at Mekong Thai, a pho spot in Naseong-dong! I recommend it to anyone looking for pho. The combination of clean, hot pho, sweet stir-fried noodles, and crispy cha gio worked really well together. In particular, the pho and stir-fried noodles are completely different in flavor, so if you're visiting with someone, I'd recommend ordering one of each to share! It's an easy place to visit whenever you're craving pho in Naseong-dong, and I think I'll keep coming back.
