Hi everyone :) I've been eating out a lot lately, and with so much heavily seasoned food around, I started craving something clean but hearty and Korean — that's how I found 'Bapkkot Hansang.' Let me introduce this comfortable spot with generous portions.

Where is Bapkkot Hansang, and what are its hours and parking?

11:00–21:00 (closed Sundays) / 15:00–17:00 (break time) / 20:00 (last order). Bapkkot Hansang is located in the Sejongmachi building near the Presidential Archives, on the 3rd floor next to Mekong Thai. Parking is convenient since the building has basement parking.

When I walked in, even though it was a bit past lunch hour, the place was already full! As expected ><. The wood-tone interior felt warm, and the clean, bright atmosphere made it a comfortable place to eat.✨

Here's how Bapkkot Hansang's menu is laid out, and today I ordered minari tteokgalbi bowl (soy sauce) x2 + octopus shrimp bowl + jeyuk bowl. You order using the tablet installed at each table. Since I reserved ahead, my food was ready right away!

✔️Bapkkot Hansang also has a high chair, so it's great to visit with a baby! Now that I have a baby, checking whether a place has a high chair or is baby-friendly is the first thing I do haha.

It's so nice being able to order the menu along with the reservation. The bowls came out ready right away — doesn't it just look delicious? Such a mouthwatering sight🤤

Jeyuk bowl: the stir-fried pork bowl that suits every age

First up is the jeyuk bowl (spicy stir-fried pork rice bowl). Among Korean dishes, jeyuk bowl is one that never fails, and Bapkkot Hansang's version didn't let me down either.

A generous heap of glossy stir-fried pork sits on top, plenty in portion, with tender meat and sauce that balances sweet and spicy just right — delicious. It's a dish everyone, young or old, would like. Eaten together with the rice, it really makes for a satisfying meal!!

Octopus and shrimp bowl: mild enough for spice-shy eaters

Next is the octopus shrimp bowl. Even just the look of the spicy sauce makes your mouth water><

It's loaded with plump shrimp and chewy octopus, and the sauce has just the right amount of spice to go perfectly with rice.👍🏻

The octopus isn't chewy in a tough way — it's on the softer side — and the shrimp keeps its springy bite, making it fun to eat. The spice isn't harsh, so even someone like me who can't handle heat well could enjoy it without worry!

Minari tteokgalbi bowl: the signature dish worth the wait

Lastly, the minari tteokgalbi bowl — the signature dish I was most excited for. It came with big chunks of tteokgalbi (grilled minced beef patties) topped with fresh minari (water dropwort), and just looking at it felt generous.

The tteokgalbi was really, really tender and full of juices — it was so good〰️

The sweet-and-savory sauce pairs well with the rice, and the fragrant minari adds freshness without any heaviness. Adding minari made it feel much lighter than a regular tteokgalbi bowl.🌿

Is Bapkkot Hansang good for family meals, lunch or group gatherings?

Every dish felt made with care, and the ingredients felt fresh, which made me like it even more! There's also the fun of ordering a variety of dishes to share haha.
