Where is Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk, and where do you park?
Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk sits right across from the Naseong-dong fire station, so it was super easy to find.

You can park in the building's underground lot for free for 3 hours! If you exit through the shop-only door from the underground lot, you can go straight up by elevator!

How big is the gamjatang takeout discount?
Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk was also running an ongoing takeout discount event! The gamjatang was discounted from ₩4,000 to ₩8,000, so there were quite a few customers taking food to go.

At the front of the restaurant there was a waiting machine and deodorizer, and near the entrance there was a self-service parking registration machine.

Inside Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk: seating and the self-serve bar
The Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk restaurant was very clean and pleasant. There were tables ranging from 2-seaters to joined 4-seat tables, so it was comfortable whether you're eating alone or with a small group.

There was also a self-serve bar tucked in one corner of the restaurant, neatly kept.

What 4 adults and 2 babies ordered
We visited with 4 adults and 2 babies.
Order Small gamjatang 2 bowls of rice Non-alcoholic lemon Cass
Basic side dishes were cubed radish kimchi and napa cabbage kimchi, both delicious~ For the other vegetables, you use the self-serve corner!

They even had a baby spoon and fork ready.

Small gamjatang in an earthenware pot: how much food is it?
The gamjatang came topped with perilla leaves and chili sauce, and the portion was generous! It also came out in a clay pot, which looked neat and helped the hot gamjatang taste even better, I think.

When I lifted the perilla leaves a bit, there was a heap of napa cabbage stems and glass noodles underneath~
And under that were the bones. The portion was generous, but each bone was also huge, with a good amount of meat clinging to it, so just looking at it, I could tell picking the meat off was going to be fun.

How the broth and the pork tasted
After simmering it until the chili sauce dissolved evenly into the broth, I tasted the broth first — spicy heat hit first, followed by savory depth. Total broth that makes you want a drink!!
The meat was so tender that just lifting it slightly with chopsticks made it fall right off the bone. Not just one piece — every single bone that came out was tender~

It was so well cooked that the meat wasn't dry at all — moist and tender. Dipping it in the mustard sauce on the table was so good.

Non-alcoholic beer is on the menu too
My companion and I kept saying it was delicious, and then I checked the tablet menu and saw they sell non-alcoholic beer, so I ended up ordering a non-alcoholic lemon Cass!! Refreshing and crisp — really solid~

Since the broth was so good, of course the glass noodles and dumpling dough soaked in it were amazing too!!

Mix in some rice and eat it with the cubed radish kimchi and napa cabbage kimchi that came with it, and the meal is complete!! The radish kimchi was fermented just right, with a subtle tangy taste! The napa cabbage kimchi was fresh, unfermented — just clean and perfect as a side! All the kimchi was delicious, which made the already-tasty gamjatang even better.

I wanted to add ramen noodles too, but the gamjatang portion was so big I couldn't manage it,,,ㅠㅠ Thanks for the meal today~
Is Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk worth a visit with kids?
This is one of the most tender gamjatang I've ever had!
The broth had a great spicy kick and the portion was generous, so it was really delicious. Since takeout is cheaper, I'll have to try that next time! I recommend Chungsilok Ppyeohaejangguk, a must-try spot in Naseong-dong, Sejong👍
This is just my personal opinion, so please take it as reference only🥰
