Hi guys, I'm back after a while!
Today I visited a newly opened gukbap (Korean soup with rice) restaurant near Seonyudo Station. I held off trying to go at lunch, but couldn't because of the waiting line... ㅠ so this is my review from a dinner visit, haha.
Walking by, I couldn't just pass the flashy sign and the cauldron out front,,,,, (though it might be a fake cauldron haha). If you work near Seonyudo Station, I highly recommend this place. Let me review the location, menu, and taste in detail.

Deundeun Haejanggukbap Seonyudo Station Branch is on the 1st floor of the Wonwoo Building, 105 Yangpyeong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It's very close to the subway station, so accessibility is excellent!!!!!!
By public transit: it's about a 2-3 minute walk from Exit 5 of Seonyudo Station on Line 9, so it's super convenient to visit on your commute or during lunch.💦💦💦 Walk a short way down the alley from the exit and the flashy sign comes right into view, so it's easy to find.

Walking into Deundeun Haejanggukbap Seonyudo Station Branch, it has the warm feel of a typical gukbap restaurant, plus a sort of folk-village vibe •••??? The tables and floor were kept very clean, which made a great first impression.
And it's well set up with everything from solo seats where you never feel awkward eating alone, to tables for four where you can sit with coworkers or friends. Turnover is quick and the staff are friendly, so you can eat comfortably even during busy lunch or dinner hours.
And on top of everything, it's open 24 hours •••!!!
What's on the menu at Deundeun Haejanggukbap?
True to its name, Deundeun Haejanggukbap offers a variety of hangover-soup style menu items that look like they'll fix you up just by looking at them. They're based on a deep, richly simmered bone broth, generously loaded with meat and sundae (Korean blood sausage).
The meat is soft with no off smell, and the sundae is packed full, so you can choose according to your taste. There are also side dishes that go well with gukbap, like mandu (dumplings) and suyuk (boiled pork), plus set menus.
How the spicy sundae gukbap actually tastes
What I ordered was this place's signature spicy sundae gukbap!!!!! Rather than the sharp taste of seasoning, it's the rich, savory flavor of the bone broth, simmered for a long time, that wraps around your mouth in the best way.
The bowl was generously packed with meat, ugeoji (napa cabbage leaves), bean sprouts, and more, so there was nothing lacking even down to the last spoonful. The meat wasn't tough at all — it was tender, and had a great texture to chew.
The lifeblood of a gukbap restaurant is the kimchi! The perfectly fermented kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) and geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi) lifted the flavor of the soup even further. Mix some rice into the broth, top it with a piece of kkakdugi, and it's the perfect combination.

At Deundeun Haejanggukbap Seonyudo Station Branch, the steamed sundae is free!!!!!!!! Like you can see in the photo above ,,, I thought, wait, what does that mean?? but it was really free and I was so surprised!
