Myeongdong jokbal restaurant you can book on Naver: Miss Jokbal
In short
Miss Jokbal Seoul Myeongdong Branch is a jokbal (braised pork trotter) and bossam restaurant at 21 Myeongdong 3-gil, near Euljiro 1-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. A Naver reservation meant being seated with no wait, and the signature Emperor Jokbal arrived with a free bowl of kimchi kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) plus japchae, dubu kimchi and cheongpomuk muchim ringing the edge of the plate; a kalguksu refill costs 4,000 won. The pork was tender enough to melt in the mouth, making Miss Jokbal a solid pick for both a full meal and a soju night.

Today I'm sharing a review of some proper jokbal (pork trotter) I had near Euljiro 1-ga Station! ✨🤤 The place I'm introducing today is Miss Jokbal, well known as a top jokbal spot in Myeongdong!

Miss Jokbal Myeongdong: the talked-about spot near Euljiro 1-ga Station

Miss Jokbal Myeongdong, located near Euljiro 1-ga Station, is already a word-of-mouth favorite! 🏢 Even outside peak hours, it looked really crowded! There's no dedicated parking since it's in Myeongdong, so I'd recommend taking public transit ~

Stepping inside, there were tons of customers, from foreign visitors to locals...! The age range was really varied too, so it had that hot-spot energy that works for everyone! 🔥

Does booking Miss Jokbal on Naver really mean no waiting?
We visited after booking through Naver ~! Maybe because of that, we were seated right away with no wait. This place usually has a line, so I'd recommend booking through Naver before you go!
Looking at the menu, there were so many options, from jokbal to bossam, garlic bossam, even yukhoe (raw beef)! 🤔 Among them, we ordered Emperor Jokbal, the signature menu at Miss Jokbal Myeongdong that felt like the most special way to enjoy the place!!👍

The free kimchi kalguksu: spicy broth, chewy noodles
After ordering, we were waiting for the food ~! Turns out ordering the Emperor Jokbal comes with a free bowl of kimchi kalguksu (noodle soup) ~? 🍜
The broth was spicy and punchy, so good for sipping in between bites, and the noodles were nice and chewy, so I kept going back for more even before the main Emperor Jokbal arrived..! 😭 You can order a refill once you finish, but note there's a ₩4,000 extra charge for that!!

Emperor Jokbal: a spread fit for a royal table
Finally, the main dish, Emperor Jokbal, was set on the table ~! I honestly thought a royal banquet table had arrived....👑 It was absurdly generous!!

The jokbal was glistening with a shine that practically promised how soft it'd be before I even took a bite! And the meat-to-fat ratio was fantastic!

What side dishes ring the Emperor Jokbal plate?
Around the edge of the big plate came a mountain of delicious-looking sides that go perfectly with jokbal, from japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) to various kimchis, salad, dubu kimchi (tofu with stir-fried kimchi), mujeungi (aged kimchi), and cheongpomuk muchim (seasoned mung bean jelly)!! This is exactly when you'd say the table legs are about to break under all that food, right?!🤩
All the side dishes that came with it were seasoned perfectly and paired so well with the jokbal ~! I especially loved that japchae haha

How tender is the jokbal at Miss Jokbal?
Now for the main event, actually eating the Emperor Jokbal ~! It was one of the most tender, silky jokbal I've had, right up there among the best~ 🍖 It really melted the moment it hit my mouth.. and I instantly understood why this place is known as a top jokbal spot in Myeongdong!✨

Why Miss Jokbal's jokbal calls for soju
With such an amazing dish to pair it with, there was no way we weren't ordering soju.. so we did right away.. ^^ 🍶 Not drinking with jokbal this good.. is basically a crime.. hehe haha
Thanks to the delicious Emperor Jokbal, the soju went down way too easily that day.. and I ended up pleasantly tipsy...!🥳 If you're ever in Myeongdong craving tender, melt-in-your-mouth jokbal, definitely stop by Miss Jokbal! It's perfect whether you're there for a full meal or for drinks, and you won't regret it~ 👋✨
