Bupyeong pig's trotter spot: fire jokbal half-and-half, Jangmo Jokbal

In short

Jangmo Jokbal Bupyeong Market Station Branch is a jokbal (braised pig's trotter) restaurant near Bupyeong Market Station in Incheon that boils 100% domestic trotters fresh each day. A half-and-half front leg order (regular plus fire jokbal) came to just over 40,000 won, and jaengban guksu (cold buckwheat noodles) at 9,000 won brought the total to 51,000 won, minus a 2,000 won takeout discount. The two jokbal flavors are packed separately so they stay distinct in the takeout box, and the saucy fire jokbal with the tangy noodles was the best part of the meal.

With the weather getting nicer these days, I bet a lot of people are searching for good takeout and delivery spots in Bupyeong — gatherings are picking up too, so you need food that's good to share whether you're eating at home or out. In that case, how about jokbal (braised pig's trotters) near Bupyeong Market Station?

What does half-and-half jokbal with jaengban guksu cost at Jangmo Jokbal?

I got the half-and-half front leg jokbal packed up along with mak guksu (cold buckwheat noodles)! The jokbal was in the low ₩40,000s, and the jaengban guksu was ₩9,000, so together it came to ₩51,000 — but with the ₩2,000 takeout discount, I got to enjoy it all for just over ₩40,000 😊

The trotters boiled that day, waiting to be sliced — drooling just looking at them. The visual is genuinely great, and they slice it warm, which was so satisfying.

This Bupyeong Market Station jokbal spot has an ethical business certification too — check the prices below for reference! The pricing isn't intimidating either, and as you'll see, the portions are genuinely huge.

Naver reservation for dine-in, 2,000 won off for takeout

I enjoyed it as a Bupyeong takeout favorite, but plenty of people eat in at the restaurant too — it's popular, so booking through Naver Reservation before you go makes things much more convenient. They even set up the table in advance for you, haha.

Since I went with takeout, I got the ₩2,000 discount, and delivery should look the same visually so keep that in mind :) Can you feel how warm it still is?

Vegetable prices have gone up a lot lately too, but they packed the vegetables in colorful and generous portions! This was the packed half-and-half front leg jokbal, and each half was packed generously so it felt like plenty 💓

Fire jokbal and regular jokbal packed separately for takeout

Spicy fire jokbal and mild regular jokbal — a half-and-half order, and the nice touch of packing them separately meant I could tell them apart easily when eating the takeout/delivery order near Bupyeong Market Station.

It had been a while since I'd had spicy fire jokbal near Bupyeong Market Station — that deliciously fiery smell hit right away, haha. That blazing fire flavor was genuinely alive in this one 🎈🎈

Can't skip ordering mak guksu (cold buckwheat noodles) either! This combo with jokbal is basically an unspoken rule at jokbal restaurants. The tangy-sweet sauce with springy, well-boiled buckwheat noodles — the visual alone made me swallow hard.

How does the front leg meat taste and chew?

Front leg meat is a bit pricier than hind leg, but I always order it anyway! There's zero off smell, the skin is chewy without being overly tough, and the lean meat is so tender it pulls apart along the grain.

What side dishes come with the jokbal?

A wide variety of side dishes came out too, so you can eat without getting bored — this Bupyeong Jangmo Jokbal spread of pickled chives, perilla leaves, pickled radish, garlic, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), salted shrimp, and lettuce wraps was generous and satisfying :-)

Eating it wrapped in fresh lettuce makes it so much tastier — the freshness really came through and made everything feel even better!

Unlike other places, this spicy fire jokbal had a saucier, juicier seasoning, and that made it taste even better. The spice was followed by a subtle sweetness that kept me reaching for more, a spice level I kept going back for 🔥

Jaengban guksu with the broth served on the side

Springy, chewy mak guksu! They gave the broth separately so you can mix it in properly, which felt like a thoughtful touch. The portion of noodles was generous and the vegetables were plentiful too, making for a fun texture from start to finish 💪🏻

I ordered it to eat alongside the jokbal, and that's exactly how it works — the two menu items completely bring out the best in each other, so make sure you order both. The jaengban guksu is priced kindly too, so there's really no reason not to order it ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Would I order from Jangmo Jokbal again?

The owner was kind and the restaurant was clean, so overall I was very satisfied. The pricing is reasonable for the portion size too, so it's a place I'd want to come back to again!

A must-stop course when you're heading to Bupyeong Market? Glossy jokbal paired with tangy mak guksu — case closed! 🤤🤤🤤
