Three dishes chosen with our mushroom-loving child

To suit our elementary-school son, who loves mushrooms, we ordered porcini mushroom gnocchi and truffle mushroom pizza, plus spicy Kung Pao chicken pilaf for my husband and me.

Savory and spicy Kung Pao chicken pilaf

Bueokgan Restaurant’s Kung Pao chicken pilaf is fried rice with garlic and chili, giving it a savory, salty, and spicy flavor. The big pieces of oven-baked chicken thigh are tender and delicious, too.

Porcini mushroom gnocchi that had us enjoying every drop of sauce

Our son always orders carbonara, so I thought he would like Bueokgan Restaurant’s porcini mushroom gnocchi: creamy sauce packed with nicely textured mushrooms. He liked it so much that he even dunked the pizza crust in the sauce—definitely a successful choice.

After ordering, I realized that two of our three dishes were mushroom dishes—oops! But the truffle mushroom pizza was still delicious!

The mild pizza was topped with elegant truffle aroma and chewy mushrooms, so juicy that you could really taste their richness. If you love mushrooms, give it a try.
