When I’m looking for a good place to eat with my child in Baegot, Siheung, there’s one restaurant that often comes to mind: Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch (정씨함박 배곧점). The first time I ate here, I remember thinking, “Hamburg steak can be this good?” It’s close to Baegot Lotte Mart, so it’s easy to stop by after grocery shopping, and it’s also great for a meal after a culture-center class with your child!

A warm atmosphere on the second floor of Avenue France Orange Building

Jeongssi Hambak is on the second floor of the Avenue France building. Avenue France has several buildings, but this is all you need to remember. 🍊O. R. A. N. G. E. Building, second floor!🍊

As soon as you walk in, the chandelier lighting catches your eye. It has that warm, old-school Western restaurant kind of feel...! Maybe because the menu is so kid-friendly, I saw lots of families dining with children. It’s just the right place for a hungry mom to walk into after a culture-center class 🍽️
A menu of hamburg steak, pasta, and pork cutlets
Jeongssi Hambak’s menu is made up of the following categories.

- Hamburg steak dishes
- Pasta dishes
- Pork cutlet dishes
- Side dishes
This isn’t a place with just hamburg steak; they also have pasta and pork cutlets, so it’s really easy to choose when you go with a group! The hamburg steaks are cooked to order, so the food may take a little time to come out. I’ve never had a long wait over several visits, but if you’re going with a child, it might be good to bring a small snack or toy just in case.
The hamburg steak and pasta three adults ordered
For first-time visitors, I recommend the Jeongssi Hambak + Snow Cheese Meatball Pasta + pork cutlet combination! You get to enjoy the classic hamburg steak, pasta, and something crispy all together, so it’s the perfect lineup ❤️ If you have a big appetite, order the Jeongssi Hambak in the large size. All my fellow big eaters, come on over...🙋🏻♀️

Three adults visited that day, and this is what we ordered.
- Large Jeongssi Hambak
- Snow Cheese Meatball Pasta
- Toowoomba Hambak
Instead of the pork cutlet we usually get, we decided to try the Toowoomba Hambak.
Side dishes and the self-service bar

Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) comes as a basic side dish, and the self-service bar has kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), jalapeños, pickles, and more! There are extra plates too, which makes it easy to share several dishes.
How the large Jeongssi Hambak and Toowoomba Hambak tasted

Large Jeongssi Hambak
Jeongssi Hambak is a dish I enjoy every single time I come here. Don’t even compare it to the ordinary hamburg steak you might be imagining...!

When you cut into it with a knife, the meat separates softly and feels wonderfully juicy. The classic Jeongssi Hambak seems like the safest, can’t-go-wrong choice for first-time visitors. If you eat well, go for the large size. You won’t regret it...🐷

Toowoomba Hambak
It was my first time trying the Toowoomba Hambak that day. It’s a hamburg steak topped with a thick, rich sauce, so anyone who likes cream sauce will enjoy the flavor. For my taste, though, the sauce was a little salty, and since we had also ordered Snow Cheese Meatball Pasta, the sauces felt a bit similar! If you want to order two hamburg steaks, I’d personally recommend the classic Jeongssi Hambak + Rose Hambak combination instead.
The Snow Cheese Meatball Pasta you have to try

My absolute favorite dish at Jeongssi Hambak is the Snow Cheese Meatball Pasta. The pasta is delicious too, but the meatballs on top are seriously good. They don’t feel like a mere garnish; they feel like the star of the dish. Crispy and juicy—so tasty. I actually went with my mother-in-law that day, and she said this was the best dish too. Really, you have to try this one 🥹🤍
A walk through Baegot Life Park after your meal

Near Jeongssi Hambak, there’s also Baegot Life Park, which is nice for a light walk. Taking a stroll to the park after eating makes for a lovely half-day out with your child! Fill up nicely, walk around the park a little, and it’s a great change of pace for the baby while Mom and Dad get to digest too, haha.
A Baegot family meal spot that’s great with children
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is a restaurant I often think of when I’m craving thick, juicy hamburg steak and pasta with rich sauce.

If you’re looking for a restaurant in Siheung that’s good to visit with children, somewhere to eat after a Baegot Lotte Mart culture-center class, a place where you can have hamburg steak and pasta together, or a good Baegot spot for a family meal, I recommend Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch! Especially on your first visit, make sure to order the Jeongssi Hambak and Snow Cheese Meatball Pasta together ❤️
