Siheung Korean BBQ with minari yukhoe: Hamdon Baegot
In short
Hamdon Baegot is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Baegot-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi, where staff grill aged five-layer pork belly at the table. I paired cross-aged ogyeopsal with minari wraps, Korean beef minari yukhoe, and bibim naengmyeon for 63,000 won. Verdict: the staff-grilled meat and generous included dishes were especially satisfying.

A stylish Korean BBQ spot that also suits date night

Hamdon Baegot makes a fresh first impression with its stylish sign, visible even from afar, and its warm lighting. Its distinctive slogan, “falling for meat,” is matched by a tasteful interior that conveys its genuine devotion to meat right from the entrance.

There is a waiting area by the entrance, as you would expect from a popular restaurant. The cute dol hareubang (Jeju stone grandfather) photo spot and the water-aging tank, where the meat was aging beautifully, gave me plenty to look at before going in.
Modern warmth under soft lighting

Inside, a neat and cozy atmosphere welcomes you. Shimmering copper-toned exhaust hoods pair with elegant octagonal tables for a modern space that still feels like you are being treated to something special. Cute dol hareubang ornaments along one wall evoke Jeju Island and add a little extra fun to look at.
Jeju-inspired food and drinks

Hamdon Baegot’s biggest appeal is that it feels as though it has brought all of Jeju here..! The menu is full of ways to experience Jeju’s characteristically deep, rich flavors: carefully selected aged meat, black-pork skin, black-pork bone broth gomtang, and doenjang hot pot, too~
Jeju-style meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) and fresh wrap vegetables are included to bring out the meat’s flavor even more. From Hallasan 1950, Hallasan 16°, Hallasan 21°, Seongsanpo soju, and Jeju wheat ale to Jeju hallabong juice, you can pair quality meat with Jeju specialty drinks to suit your taste and feel as if you have stepped into a great local restaurant on Jeju.
Neat side dishes and minari wraps

The included dishes that enhance the meat arrived neatly arranged on an octagonal tray. There were punchy chili peppers and garlic, ssamjang, white kimchi, pickled shiitake mushrooms, pickled young radish, green-onion kimchi, and more—side dishes that cut through the richness of the meat and wake up the appetite~

Most of all, fresh and fragrant minari wraps came with the meal, so I could enjoy their crisp texture and herbal aroma fully with the meat. A clear, refreshing bone gomtang made by simmering black-pork bone broth with assorted vegetables was also included, its deep and rich broth filling me up even before the main meal began.

This is what I ordered.

Fresh water-aged, cross-aged ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly), served right away.

It was so convenient because a staff member grilled it for us. I recommend it if you are looking for a staff-grilled Korean BBQ restaurant in Baegot-dong. Wow, can you see that heat and steam? The ogyeopsal browned on the hot grill was wonderful, with juices bursting out the more I chewed and a satisfyingly springy texture.

It was my first time eating from the tongs that mukbang YouTubers use. Of course, they gave us chopsticks too, but using these was fun because it made me feel like a YouTuber.

For the first bite, you have to go original and pure, right? Naturally, it was so delicious and bursting with juice.

Rolling it up in fragrant minari and dipping it in sauce let me experience the full range of flavors.

This was the Korean beef minari yukhoe (seasoned raw beef) that filled my mouth with freshness. Fresh Korean beef yukhoe was topped with bright minari and a golden egg yolk, catching both the eye and the palate at once.
The rich egg yolk, once popped, came together with the crisp texture and fragrant grassy notes of minari for an elegant flavor.

Here is the bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles), with a pleasantly spicy, refreshing kick.

The bibim naengmyeon was charming for its chewy noodles and sweet-tangy, spicy sauce lightly chilled with slushy ice. Wrap a piece of well-grilled ogyeopsal around the noodles and it cuts right through the richness—such a special dish for a drinking snack or dessert-like finish!
A Jeju-style meat feast through the final bite
From aged ogyeopsal filled with Jeju’s deep flavor to the fragrant minari wraps and nourishing welcome of bone gomtang, then fresh Korean beef minari yukhoe and spicy-tangy bibim naengmyeon, it was a perfect feast. The neatly set table, satisfying every sense, and the harmony of so many flavors left me with a lovely lingering feeling right to the end.
