In short
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is a Western-style Korean restaurant in Siheung, Gyeonggi, serving handmade hamburg steak, pasta, and kimchi fried rice. The moist patty was especially good dipped in nostalgic-style sauce with egg and salad, while the firm pasta and familiar fried rice rounded out the meal. This review was written after I personally visited using a meal voucher provided by the business.

I had a proper old-school Western-style Korean meal in Baegot for the first time in a while. At Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch, I tried four dishes together: handmade hamburg steak, pasta, kimchi fried rice, and blue lemonade, and each one had its own distinct character. Most of all, I loved piling egg and salad onto the hamburg steak and dipping it generously into the nostalgic Western-style sauce—definitely one of my favorite Baegot restaurants.
Gyeongyangsik refers to Korea's dining culture of interpreting Western-style dishes such as pork cutlet, hamburg steak, and omurice for Korean tastes and atmosphere.

What Is the Best Way to Eat the Handmade Hamburg Steak?
If you are looking for handmade hamburg steak in Baegot, the first dish I want to mention is, of course, the Jeongssi hamburg steak. A fried egg sits on the thick handmade patty, with salad alongside. Rather than eating each part separately, I found it most delicious to put the fried egg and salad on the patty together, then dip it deeply into the sauce. Instead of a sharp, modern flavor, the sauce reminded me of what I ate when my family went to Western-style Korean restaurants years ago.
It was lightly sweet with depth—truly close to a nostalgic gyeongyangsik sauce. When I cut into the thick patty, it was moist inside, and the soft egg plus crisp salad added a variety of textures to each bite. If you are looking for handmade hamburg steak in Siheung, I think this dish is especially good when you coat it generously in sauce.

How Was the Texture of the Baegot Pasta?
The pasta was what I reached for after the hamburg steak. The noodles were cooked firm rather than overly soft, so they still had a nice bite, and the shrimp were not merely little bits—they were large enough to make their presence felt in every bite. The tomatoes had not been blended away completely into the sauce either; some of their texture remained, which made the pasta, shrimp, and tomatoes enjoyable together.
The sauce had a relatively clean tomato-based flavor without being overly heavy or rich. That meant it did not interfere with the hamburg steak even when I alternated between them. Ordering one hamburg steak and one Baegot pasta to share gave us both meat and noodles, making for a very satisfying spread.

Why Did We Both Laugh at the Kimchi Fried Rice?
The moment we took a bite of the kimchi fried rice, the person I was with and I burst out laughing almost at the same time. “We know this flavor so well!” That was exactly our reaction. It brought back the kimchi fried rice from old Western-style Korean restaurants—something anyone who has sliced into plenty of pork cutlets at those places might remember.
Although it was kimchi fried rice, it was not the kind with an overpowering oily taste. Bits of bacon throughout added a savory nuttiness, too. Mixing in the egg on top softened the spice considerably. While the pasta and hamburg steak lean more Western, the kimchi fried rice filled the middle with a familiar flavor.
The Blue Lemonade Was Generously Sized
As soon as the blue lemonade we ordered was set on the table, its refreshing blue and green hues caught my eye. It was sweet, tart, and fresh, making it nice to sip between bites of hamburg steak or fried rice. The glass itself was quite generous, so even though two of us shared one, it lasted through the meal without feeling insufficient.
The four dishes I tried this time each went in a slightly different flavor direction, so they worked well together when ordered as a group. The Jeongssi hamburg steak centered on its nostalgic restaurant-style sauce and moist handmade patty, while the pasta stood out for firm noodles, large shrimp, and noticeable tomato texture.
The kimchi fried rice had the familiar flavor that made my companion and me laugh as old memories came back, while the blue lemonade refreshed the palate. With pale green accent walls, chandeliers, and patterned flooring, the restaurant itself balanced old-school Western-style Korean charm with a current feel. Rather than having just one hamburg steak, this is a good Baegot spot to visit with someone you like when you want to share pasta, fried rice, and several dishes.
