Visited Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch on a date with my husband in Haeundae! The Gwang-an branch is already so famous — my husband had even been there once for a wedding invitation gathering. It's already known as a Gunam-ro meat spot 〰️✨

Where is Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch and what are its hours?

Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is a meat restaurant on the 2nd floor of 16 Gunam-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan. Weekdays it's open 12:00–23:30 (last order 22:30), weekends 12:00–24:00 (last order 23:00), with a break time from 15:00–16:30. Parking support is available, there's an indoor restroom, and Dongbaekjeon is accepted.

How to walk there from Haeundae Station

On foot, come out of Haeundae Station exit 5 and walk 155m toward the beach — it's on the 2nd floor. It's the building right next to Artbox and Goraesa Fish Cake on the 1st floor, so on the main Gunam-ro street, just look for the 2nd floor above Goraesa Fish Cake.

If you're driving, use the Hyundai pay parking lot (8-1 Gunam-ro 18beon-gil) per T-map. Parking there gets you 1 hour free.

Was there a wait on an early weekday evening?

This is a Haeundae spot known for waits, but this time we came on a weekday, a bit earlier than dinner rush, so luckily we got in right away with no wait 🏃🏽 (+ I had a Naver reservation!) When there's usually a wait, you can put your name down at the Catch Table waitlist near the 1st-floor stairs.

Besides Catch Table, Naver Reservation also works, so if you're planning a visit, I really recommend booking ahead instead of walking in ✔️ 👇🏽

On the way out there was fabric deodorizer and wet wipes set up too. We had to get right into the car after eating, so the deodorizer really took care of the smell worry — nice touch 〰️🪽

Inside Gwang-anmok: seating and the window tables

Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch's interior was bigger than expected! They can seat up to 60 people, so it seems great for group visits too. The tables were spaced generously so we could eat comfortably 👅

Since we'd reserved ahead, our table was ready right on time. It was a cool day, and they set us up by the window so we could look outside and eat in a nice breeze 🍃

How the pork is aged and grilled for you at the table

The meat on display in the restaurant really caught the eye 🌟 They alternate between dry aging and wet aging, which apparently makes it taste even better.

Once you order, the meat comes pre-grilled with a smoky flavor added, and the staff finishes grilling it at your table 🤍🤍

What we ordered: the (2-person) A Set + mom's-touch doenjang jjigae + sool-bap added.

There was a nice variety of side dishes too — pickled onion, gat kimchi, pickled young radish, pickled chili peppers, wrap greens, and more.

Water dropwort namul and salted anchovy side dishes

Among them, the water dropwort namul and the salted anchovy were the real kicker!!! Paired with the meat, they went so well together 🥹💞

Aged meat finishing on the grill at the table

The pre-grilled meat gets finished off again at the table, and they also told us the best way to eat each cut!

Pork neck with chimichurri sauce and basil wraps

For the tender pork neck, they recommended pairing it with a chimichurri sauce made from perilla leaf and angelica, wrapped in basil — and it was amazing ,,,💖💖

I'm not usually a huge basil fan, but lightly cooked and eaten with the meat, the fragrant aroma really rounded out the flavor 🌿

Butter-grilled vegetables served on a plate

The butter-grilled vegetables came out on a plate, and by the time we finished the meat they were perfectly cooked and so delicious 🤍

Mom's-touch doenjang jjigae with sool-bap table setting
Doenjang jjigae + sool-bap

The doenjang jjigae + sool-bap we ordered came out quickly too, so we ate them together 〰️🍚 Pork really does call for doenjang jjigae... it was packed full of meat inside too, so great 🪽 Being by the window with a cool breeze, mixing in the hot sool-bap, the meat just kept going down 〰️〰️❣️

Cleared the plate again today…
