Jeonpo tonkatsu restaurant with parking support: Hets Jeonpo, Busan
In short
Hets Jeonpo Branch is a tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) restaurant on the second floor along Jeonpo-daero in Busanjin, Busan, a 3-minute walk from Exit 7 of Jeonpo Station. Parking at a lot 5 minutes away came to only 2,000 won out of pocket after the restaurant's 1,000 won parking support, and a Catch Table reservation meant no wait at all on a weekday noon visit for YBD hirekatsu, YBD assorted katsu and meat curry. Jeju black pork was already sold out even at weekday lunch, but the truffle oil and corn salad dressing combo makes Hets Jeonpo Branch worth repeating.

Hets has become my true favorite spot since moving down to Busan. The fact that a Hets branch — the tonkatsu place two self-proclaimed pork cutlet fanatics swear by — opened in Jeonpo too made my husband and me sooooo happy 👫🏽❤️🔥

It's such a real deal spot that I've been diligently collecting stamps for it ...❣️
Honestly I had a colonoscopy that day but I'd already resolved the night before that I'd come here right after it was done.

Where to park near Hets Jeonpo, and the 1,000 won parking support

I always park here whenever I'm in Jeonpo — a commercial building lot about a 5-minute walk from the restaurant. They cover ₩1,000 of the parking fee in cash.
We parked for about 50 minutes, total parking fee came to ₩3,000, and we only paid the extra ₩2,000.

Come out of Jeonpo Station Exit 7 and it's a 3-minute walk to Hets! It's right on the main road by Jeonpo Station and directly in front of the Jeonpo intersection bus stop, so it's easy to find 👀

We visited around noon on a weekday and luckily got to eat without any wait at all! By the time our food arrived, a lot of customers had come in and a line had formed.

Open-kitchen bar seats: how Jeonpo differs from the Gwangan branch

Just like the Gwangan branch, the inside is set up with an open kitchen bar table 🤍 You can see everything inside, and it's kept so clean that you can eat with total trust! The newly opened Jeonpo branch is roomier and more open than Gwangan, giving it a different vibe altogether.

There's a baby chair available too, plus space to store bags or coats, so you can eat comfortably 🥢

Since it's bar-table style, I saw a lot of people eating solo too. I should come do a solo meal here myself 🍚 ㅋ,ㅋ
If there's a song you want to hear playing in the restaurant, you can write it on the memo pad up top and they'll play your request 〰️🎵

Free service for police, soldiers and pregnant guests
There's a poster on the wall stating that police officers, national merit recipients, military personnel, firefighters, high school seniors taking exams, and pregnant guests can choose one free item — meat curry, boneless karaage 2pcs, or a drink. If you qualify, be sure to mention it!!
Last time I visited with a pregnant friend, the kind owner of Hets noticed her maternity badge and offered before we even had to ask ..🥹🤰
Our order: YBD hirekatsu, YBD assorted katsu and meat curry

What we ordered was YBD hirekatsu + YBD assorted katsu + meat curry.
I really wanted to order the Jeju black pork, but since it's sold in limited quantity, it was already sold out even at our noon weekday visit ㅠ,ㅠ Next time I'll have to try an opening run ~🏃🏽

Corn cabbage salad dressing with truffle oil
What makes Hets taste especially good to me is the dressing sauce on the cabbage and the truffle oil ..❣️ Every seat has its own set of sauces and oils to add as much as you like.
The savory corn aroma, like sweet corn, pairs so well with the cabbage salad, and eating tonkatsu + salad + salad sauce together is pure bliss !!🪽 And topping it with truffle oil too — that's truly the ultimate combo ..🤍🪽

YBD hirekatsu, 15,000 won
YBD hirekatsu, made from pork tenderloin, is thicker than the loin katsu and stands out for its texture and flavor.
I always order the hirekatsu, and it's softer than any tonkatsu I've had anywhere else, while the outer breading stays crispy and melts in your mouth ...🙊 Dipping it in truffle oil plus salt is my favorite routine !!! 🩷🩷🩷

YBD assorted katsu, 17,000 won
The assorted katsu has both hire and loin! I always recommend the assorted katsu to first-time visitors at Hets. The reason is simple — every single piece is insanely delicious ...❤️🔥
Loin comes from the pork sirloin area, and the savory richness of the fat blends perfectly with the lean meat for a perfect flavor. My husband loves the fatty part of the loin most, so he usually orders loin katsu ✔️

Meat curry, 3,000 won
It tastes like Japanese-style curry, with a deeper butter aroma than hayashi rice. Eating tonkatsu + curry + rice together is a total rice thief ...🍛 Even I, who don't usually like curry, genuinely enjoy Hets' curry.

Free refills of rice, soup and cabbage salad
Rice, miso soup, and salad are all refillable, so I've had up to three bowls of cabbage before ... sorry, owner 😅 But even cabbage, which I don't normally eat, becomes something I can eat unlimited amounts of at Hets (with the salad sauce, of course ㅎ-ㅎ)

The bill and final verdict on Hets Jeonpo Branch
You can also pay with FacePay, which gave us a 3% cashback benefit! If you're looking for a great tonkatsu spot in Jeonpo, please please please visit Hets ...❣️ Personally, I think it's better than some of the most highly ranked tonkatsu places in Busan 🤔❤️❤️
This used to be the tonkatsu spot we'd visit whenever we went to Gwangalli with friends, but now that there's a branch in Jeonpo, it's so much closer, and I'm sooooo happy about it !!! 💗 For a while we ordered three dishes and split them just the two of us — Hets, my favorite spot in Busan, I truly recommend it to everyone 💨
