Solo dining seafood poke set with tomato soup: Ola Poke Gangnam

In short

Ola Poke Gangnam is a poke bowl restaurant in an underground mall 4 minutes' walk from Gangnam Station in Seoul. The seafood poke topped with shrimp, octopus, and scallop, ordered as a solo dining hearty set with soup and a drink, stood out for its Hawaiian-style seaweed and pineapple toppings paired with a spicy tomato soup. With wall seats offering outlets and phone stands, it's a great spot for a quiet solo meal.

How to get there from Gangnam Station

Ola Poke is only a 4-minute walk from Gangnam Station, so it's really accessible. It's a popular spot for people near Gangnam Station looking for a healthy meal ➰

The underground mall is so big you might get a little lost at first, but if you go down and turn left, you'll find it right away.

Solo seats with outlets and even a phone stand

Inside, there's a variety of seating — tables good for 2 or 4 people, as well as seats perfect for eating alone. The wall-facing seats even thoughtfully came with outlets and phone stands.

So when I visited to eat alone, there were actually a lot of other solo diners too! 🌀 Great atmosphere for eating comfortably by yourself ... 👍🏻

The self-serve bar had lemon water and warm tea ready. On the wall, there was info on how to order, how to use the store, wifi, and even calories per menu item. When picking a salad or poke while dieting, calories are the first thing I check, so it was great that the store had it right there for reference ➰❣️

Ola Poke's menu lineup

There were many types of poke — tuna, salmon, flap steak, smoked duck, chicken breast, and more — but what really caught my eye was the Super Protein Poke loaded with a variety of toppings, and the Seafood Poke.

The set menus are also well priced for what you get, and there are side dishes to make the meal even more filling.

Solo Dining Hearty Set + Seafood Poke

I ordered the Solo Dining Hearty Set, which comes with poke, soup, and a drink. For the poke, I picked the Seafood Poke! 🥗

A bowl of Seafood Poke topped with shrimp, octopus, and scallop

The Seafood Poke has three types of seafood as the main topping — shrimp, octopus, and scallop — a combo you don't often see at other poke places, so that's why I picked it! 🐙 Ola Poke's bowls come loaded with various toppings, grains, and vegetables. The seaweed and pineapple in particular were toppings I hadn't really seen in regular poke bowls, so that was interesting 🍍 It felt unfamiliar at first, but it added a refreshing kick and great texture. Total Hawaiian-style poke vibes ... ⛱️

Above all, I loved how fresh the vegetables were. Ola Poke apparently gets pesticide-free vegetables delivered fresh from farms every dawn 🥬 I also liked the signature base, a mix of Canadian oats and Korean brown rice, which nailed fullness, texture, and health all at once ➰

Chewy octopus, plump shrimp, and soft scallop, all generously piled on ‼️ Seafood Poke ‼️ The seafood was fresh and well-cooked, so there was no fishy taste at all and the texture was fantastic.

With three different seafood toppings, every bite had a different flavor so it never got boring. Their house-made sauce was a perfect match too, haha. If you go to Ola Poke Gangnam, I highly recommend the Seafood Poke ❣️

The tomato soup is a must

The tomato soup is a must ... 🍅 It's a tomato base with a spicy kick added, and it went perfectly with the poke!! I think I'll order this soup again next time too.

Final thoughts

Sometimes a poke bowl meal leaves you hungry again pretty quickly, but Ola Poke's portions are generous by default, so I felt really full and satisfied — that's what I liked about it. If you're looking for a healthy yet filling lunch near Gangnam Station, I recommend Ola Poke Gangnam.
