A new Jipbul Taebaek on Ingye-dong's Na Hye-seok Street
I had been to the Jipbul Taebaek Yeongtong Branch for company dinners a few times before, and the meat quality was so good and delicious that it became one of my favorite spots to visit regularly on my own dime, too. So when I heard that Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch had newly opened on Ingye-dong's Na Hye-seok Street, I was so happy that I went straight away!

While the Yeongtong Branch had a modern, neat atmosphere, the newly opened Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch had a distinctly retro feel, which gave it a different kind of charm. It is close to Na Hye-seok Street, so it is easy to get to and perfect for a company dinner, too!
Menu and what we ordered

This is the Jipbul Taebaek menu, and here is what I ordered!
- Our order -

The basic side dishes and charcoal grill were set up.

Straw-fire-seared beef ribs
This is Jipbul Taebaek's highlight! When you order meat, they immediately sear it over rice straw and charcoal. They say the momentary 1,000-degree straw fire locks in the meat juices while adding a subtle smoky straw aroma.
The fire show begins! 🔥

The staff grilled the partially cooked beef ribs at the table.

They cut the meat away from the huge rib bone~~

The straw-fire aroma was gently rising as it cooked deliciously! The outside was crisp while the inside held all those juices in—just looking at it made my mouth water 🤤...

Beef ribs need to be grilled along the grain so they do not lose their juices, and the expert staff cooked them to the most delicious doneness, so I could eat so comfortably!

A full spread with sauces and sides
Everything was cooked, so it was time to properly begin the mukbang! (๑❛ڡ❛๑)

I tried the first bite plain, and the rich juices bursting in my mouth along with the soft straw-fire aroma made me think, “As expected, Jipbul Taebaek's beef ribs are always a safe bet.”

The side dishes and sauces that came with it were also an excellent combination, so I just kept eating without getting tired of it!

I tried it topped with danggui (Korean angelica) paste and Neungi mushroom paste, and even one piece of meat had so many different flavors!

While we were enjoying the meat, the triple cheese steamed egg we ordered as a side arrived. Wasn't its bomb-like appearance, puffed up high over the ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), so pretty... 💛 From the first spoonful, the soft steamed egg and savory-salty cheese came together beautifully, making it an unexpected treat that paired so well with the beef ribs!
For our finishing dish, we chose Taebaek kimchi stew. Its spicy, rich broth was wonderful for cutting through the richness after the meat. It was full of deeply simmered broth, well-fermented kimchi, and meat, so I finished a bowl of rice in no time. Kimchi stew was an excellent choice for a clean, refreshing finish!

While we were eating the final dish, they neatly grilled even the meat attached to the rib bone.

It was pleasantly chewy and had a different charm from the rib meat, so we were full and satisfied right through to the end! ♥

A retro Ingye-dong spot for company dinners
Following the always-reliable Yeongtong Branch, Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch, with its added retro charm, was completely satisfying—from the beef rib quality and side dishes to the atmosphere and service! The restaurant is large and spacious, so I think it would be great for group gatherings or company dinners, too. I highly recommend Jipbul Taebaek Suwon Ingye Branch to anyone who wants properly straw-fire-seared beef ribs in Ingye-dong, or a restaurant that will not disappoint! It feels like Suwon's number-one straw-fire beef rib spot, and I think I will keep coming back on my own dime 🔥 🥩 🔥
