Siheung outlet mall Korean restaurant: spicy bone kalguksu set

In short

Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu Siheung Premium Outlets is a Korean restaurant on the first floor of Taste Village at Siheung Premium Outlets in Siheung, Gyeonggi. The spicy bone kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) with pork jowl suyuk (boiled pork) set costs 19,000 won and came with a clean but deep broth and three big chunks of bone-in meat to share with family. The heat at Pyeongi Dambaek stays mild, so it works even for children who can't take spicy food.

We had a delicious meal with the family at Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu, on the 1st floor of the Taste Village at Siheung Premium Outlets 😘😘😘

What kind of place is Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu at Siheung Premium Outlets?

This was a real hit place that even appeared on the TV show Tasty Guys 👍👍👍 Moon Se-yun himself fell for their bibim kalguksu (spicy mixed noodles)!! If a place has been on TV, that's already proof it's good, right? It's hard to get featured on a show like that, so seeing it on Tasty Guys gave me real confidence. I could feel myself slurping it up endlessly soon.

They had a wide variety of bone kalguksu and bone soup rice dishes, plus many full-course sets that included suyuk (boiled pork), so it was nice to be able to pick according to taste 🍒🍒 There were more than just single dishes — a tangy-spicy pollack sashimi salad set and a meat dumpling set — so it was fun choosing. *Note that the suyuk is limited to 30 servings a day.

The restaurant was also running an event, which made eating there even more fun~~! Hehehe, I loved this kind of event. It's just nice when an event lets you eat more good food 😊😊😊

Table set and ready before ordering

Spicy bone kalguksu with pork jowl suyuk set, 19,000 won

I had the spicy version of the bone kalguksu, but next time I'll have to try the mixed version too. My mouth is already watering just writing this. I guess there's no helping appetite — mine's been out of control lately, I'm going crazy.

We ordered the spicy bone kalguksu with the pork jowl suyuk set and split it with my husband — the broth was clean, rich, and so delicious. That day I was craving something spicy so I went with the spicy version, and it wasn't overwhelmingly hot, so even someone who can't handle spice could manage it. My daughter can't even eat Shin Ramyun because of how weak she is with spice, but even she said it was tasty and ate it. Also the suyuk helped tone down the spiciness, so it worked out well.

The pork jowl suyuk was firm and had absolutely no off smell — so good. If we hadn't ordered the full-course set, we would have really missed out lol 🤣 The lean meat was tender and soft.

How to stir in the seasoning paste

Stir in the seasoning paste that's placed on top of the noodles like a pretty flower, and you'll get an even tastier bowl of kalguksu.

The pork jowl suyuk looks clean and neat even just from the photo, right? Looking at these pictures makes me want to eat it all over again. The side dishes — kimchi and spicy chili kimchi — were also tasty. Dip the meat from the kalguksu in the seasoned oil sauce and the flavor doubles 😋😋

The pork jowl set is limited to 30 orders a day, but we were still able to order it in the evening. Everyone, you have to try the pork jowl suyuk set!!

Besides suyuk, there was also a dumpling set, so I think I'll try the dumplings next time. I heard that if you order over ₩30,000 they give you dumplings for free — I regretted not ordering one more thing to get them (not sure how long the event will run).

A chunk of bone meat with thick flesh still attached

Three chunks of bone-in meat and the noodles

Since it's meat, the flesh was nice and thick, and there were three big chunks, so it was fun picking the meat off the bone. The meat was soft and just melted in the mouth. I joked you could probably eat it even without teeth 😂

The bone meat with so much flesh still attached was amazing. Not just one piece — three big chunks were included!!

A generous serving of kalguksu noodles

There was plenty of noodles too, so it was fine sharing. My husband eats small portions, so the amount is a bit much for him. But my daughter and I both eat a lot, so we're the piggies of the family 🐷

The noodles were nice and round, totally chewy and delicious.

Yogurt ice cream from the review event

They said if you photograph your receipt, write a visitor review, and also save the Siheung Premium Outlets place on Naver Map, you get a Yomamttae (yogurt ice cream) as part of the review event 💓

Yogurt ice cream received from the review event

It was the perfect palate-cleansing dessert, and we enjoyed it a lot. Everyone, make sure to write the review and get yours. Kalguksu plus ice cream — the best combo ~~🫶 The Siheung outlet is spacious and clean, with plenty of menu options to suit your taste, so come shop, eat something delicious, and relax 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
