Dog-friendly Seorae Village café in Seoul for laptop work: Remangdore

I'm a genuine Remangdore fan, haha!! On a weekday lunch break, I grabbed my laptop and biked all the way to Seorae Village. Here's my properly thorough review of Remangdore Seorae Village Branch (with menu recommendations included — seriously, this is the tastiest menu item in the world!!!!!)

What is Remangdore Seorae Village Branch like inside?

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch is a bakery café on Sapyeong-daero 26-gil in Seocho-gu. It has a wood-tone interior with round orange lighting.

The moment I walked in, the wood-tone interior and round orange lights were so pretty I thought I'd wandered into a furniture store..! The space felt cozy yet sophisticated, full of its own atmosphere.

Snuck in a sneaky photo here — the mirror frame itself looked like a work of art, an unmissable photo spot >< And further inside, it's not just bread on sale — there are little goods on display too.

The silver heart-shaped plates were adorable but pricey ^^ Anyway, heart-shaped glasses, couple socks, dishware — everything was so pretty it was fun just browsing. + Would make great gifts too?

Remangdore menu: which bread should you pick?

At Remangdore, latte plus bread is the classic combo, and the best of the bunch is the chocolate baguette. The display case also had cardamom buns, pain au chocolat, egg tarts, salted chocolate egg tarts, and scones.

If you come here, you must get a latte and bread — and honestly all the bread is delicious, but the best of the best is the chocolate baguette.

Ohhh!!! The cardamom bun and the pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat especially had this glossy shine that looked seriously delicious (+ the cardamom bun's name is so exotic I've never picked it ^_^ Feels like it'll smell like cinnamon somehow, you know the vibe)

I took in the egg tart, the salted chocolate egg tart, and the scones with my eyes and wanted to eat them all, but since I've been gaining weight lately I made myself pick just one.

(There was also a financier gift box — I remember feeling so happy once when I received one as a gift.)

Today's order: Nutella chocolate baguette and egg tart

In the end, what I chose at Remangdore was the chocolate baguette and egg tart. I ordered the egg tart on the owner's recommendation.

Yep, ended up going with chocolate baguette and egg tart. They also had a nice variety of jams and butters to go with them.

There's jam, Devon clotted cream, and Isigny butter, so you can pick according to your taste. (That Alain Milliat jam is seriously delicious.)

The little shell-shaped paperweight (?) was so cute I almost stole it (???) Where do you even buy something like that! I want to know where to get one.

Looks delicious, right? I tried the egg tart on the owner's recommendation!!! (Conclusion = amazing.)

Is Remangdore a good café for laptop work in Seoul?

Remangdore Seorae Village Branch was a great café for working on my laptop while working from home. On a weekday lunch, I sat alone eating chocolate baguette, egg tart, and a latte while I worked.

Working from home is such a joy!!!!!! Why!! Because I can come often to a café this delicious and this pretty!! Spending a day full of happiness working on my laptop at Remangdore, a dessert spot in Seorae Village — how good is that.

Anyway the egg tart was perfectly crisp outside and custardy inside, so eating them together was the ultimate combo — and if you think of the baguette as just plain chocolate bread, big mistake!!! The bread itself is crisp outside and soft inside, and Nutella just kept oozing out from within — genuinely moving.

The latte is genuinely delicious too, so make sure to order one! With the shop's whole atmosphere as the backdrop, the mood of the day stayed captured right in the photos. It was a good place for quiet solo work and for coming to take photos.

Nom nom nom,, there was bread, and then there wasn't. + Since it's a dog-friendly café I came hoping to see some pups, but there weren't any today, T T Disappointing — I'll have to come back on the weekend!

Verdict: an all-rounder café in Seorae Village

Remangdore!!! Seriously, you must go. Go twice. The bread is delicious, the space is pretty, and it's perfect for getting work done — 1000% intent to revisit and pay with my own money next time, and I'm definitely buying the financier gift box next visit.

If you're near Seorae Village, Parc de Paris 15 nearby is also great for a walk, making it the perfect café-hopping course.
