Where is Idobonga, and how close is it to Seodaejeon Station?

Idobonga is on the 2nd floor of the building right in front of Seodaejeon Station plaza. It's also right next to Costco, so it was easy to get to.

Since it's in the building right in front of Seodaejeon Station plaza, it wasn't hard to find at all from the station! Being next to Costco made it easy to access, and you just head up to the 2nd floor to find it. It's close enough to the station that it's great for a meal before or after taking a train, or whenever you're looking for somewhere to eat in Oryu-dong.

Inside Idobonga: atmosphere and space between tables

The inside of Idobonga was clean and fairly spacious. The tables had generous spacing between them, so it didn't feel cramped next to other tables.

Once inside, the interior overall felt clean and quite spacious. There was enough space between tables that I could eat comfortably without feeling squeezed next to the neighboring table~ Overall it wasn't overwhelming and had a tidy atmosphere, so it seemed like a good spot for a family meal out or dining with a group.

Idobonga serves a whopping 12 basic side dishes. Each person gets their own soy-marinated onion, and kimchi and diced radish kimchi come along with it too.

The utensils were neatly wrapped in a paper sleeve, which felt nice and hygienic to use. There were also salt and pepper on the table, so I could season the meat to my taste as I ate~

And the basic side dishes really came through! There were a whopping 12 of them, and it wasn't just about the number — each side dish actually tasted good too.

The soy-marinated onion served one per person, and

delicious kimchi and diced radish kimchi too! Personally, if the side dishes are good, you already know the main dish is going to be great haha.

Above all, the portion of meat was quite generous?! It had some thickness to it too, but wasn't tough or dry — it had a nice soft yet chewy texture.

The seasoning wasn't overly strong either, just the classic delicious galbi flavor everyone thinks of, so it seems like something most people would enjoy without any strong likes or dislikes. Wrapping the galbi in lettuce for a bite — need I say more ㅜㅜ🤍 Eating it with rice made for a really filling meal.

The doenjang stew included in the set was also delicious! Maybe because it had a small crab in it, the broth had a refreshing, savory flavor. Sipping the doenjang stew broth between bites kept things clean and never greasy.

Is the 4,000-won steamed egg worth adding?

Idobonga's steamed egg can be added for 4,000 won. It was fluffy and soft, with mild seasoning.
