I came to Daejeon with my dad to watch a baseball game. Before heading to Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park, we stopped by Sungsimdang to pick up some bread, then went for lunch at a burger restaurant near Sungsimdang, Burgiz Daeheung.

Inside Burgiz Daeheung: atmosphere and seating

The interior of Burgiz Daeheung, a burger restaurant in Daejeon, had a clean look in white tones with green accents that caught my eye. A long table sat in the middle with several tables on either side, and there were window seats near the entrance too — it looked like a good place to eat alone or with friends and family.

On one side there were various sauces set out, and there was a separate sink for washing hands, which seemed convenient.

Burgiz had a wide variety of burgers. Beyond the standard handmade burgers, there were also options for dieters and vegetarians, so it was nice being able to choose according to taste. Ordered Burgiz's signature Godfather set, Mushroom set, and buffalo wings — done!!

While waiting after ordering, ice-filled drink cups were brought out first — drinks were self-serve, and refills were possible if you ran low.

After a short wait, the food arrived. The burgers, fries, and buffalo wings looked delicious just to look at — a really generous spread.

The Godfather burger is made with a beef patty, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, dill pickle, and Burgiz sauce. The rich flavor of the patty and cheese pairs well with the crisp onion, tangy dill pickle, and sauce — an appetizing burger that felt like Burgiz's true signature.

How does the Mushroom burger taste?

The Mushroom burger comes with a beef patty, American cheese, grilled onion, lettuce, tomato, fried mozzarella mushrooms, and basil wasabi sauce. The savory mozzarella-stuffed fried mushrooms and wasabi sauce cut through the richness, and the mushroom aroma was really good.

The fries came out freshly fried, hot and crispy. The salting was just right, so you didn't need much ketchup — they went great with the burgers.

Buffalo wings with ranch sauce

The buffalo wings came as a mix of wings and drumettes, served with celery and ranch sauce. The characteristic saltiness and spice of buffalo wings can get a bit heavy or salty after a while, but dipping them in the ranch sauce added a smooth, savory note that made for a nice change of pace.
