A Jeju City restaurant known from the Choi Ja Road show, reviewed here: Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch.
What kind of restaurant is Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch?
I went to Pork80, famous from the Choi Ja Road show, where you can taste Nanchuk Matdon — Jeju native black pork — cooked over charcoal, near Jeju Airport! The address is 37-1 Noyeon-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju.
- ⏰ Hours: Daily 11:30–23:30 (last order 22:30)
- 🗓️ Closed days: None
- 🅿️ Parking: 25 Wonnohyeong 3-gil, Jeju-si / 3 hours free for diners

Pork80 is close to Jeju Airport, so it's easy to drop by! A Choi Ja Road standee greets you right at the entrance. And for anyone worried about parking, the nearby lot gives diners up to 3 hours free, which was plenty for our meal.

Is there a wait at Pork80 at noon on a Saturday?
Visiting at noon on a Saturday, it was pretty relaxed, but I heard the wait gets long in the evenings, so making a reservation would definitely put your mind at ease!

The interior had generous space between tables and felt clean — a good spot for a family meal, or for the first or last meal of your trip.

Ordering 600g of Nanchuk Matdon black pork: what comes with it
🏷️ Today's order — Nanchuk Matdon (Jeju native black pork) 600g: ₩72,000. It's so famous from the Choi Ja Road show that I went in with high expectations, and after tasting it, I got it immediately!

The basic table setup was seasoned raw crab, geotjeori, scallion shreds, and corn salad — all winners, nothing but good stuff.

The must-try at Pork80: Jeju native black pork 'Nanchuk Matdon.' The ratio of thick, rosy-pink meat to fat is a work of art, served with fresh scallions and mushrooms. It looked delicious just to look at, but the aroma and texture when I actually ate it were even more impressive :)

Does the grill smoke stick to your clothes at Pork80?
The charcoal heat at Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is excellent, and there's a smoke-suction machine built into the table exterior, so your clothes barely pick up any meat smell — totally the best.

How is anyone supposed to hold back looking at this... The juices in the Nanchuk Matdon were moist, the meat had a chewy bite without being tough, and the fat was savory yet soft, with a really nice balance!

Black pork wrapped in grilled scallions
Wrap a piece of black pork in a grilled scallion and take a bite — the juices and scallion aroma mingle for a truly fantastic taste. Alternating between the sides kept it from getting old bite after bite. Still, my personal favorite was piling on plenty of meljeot :)

How does the complimentary meljeot taste?
The complimentary meljeot was seriously amazing... my personal number one among all the meljeot I've had! No fishy taste at all, just a sharp, deep umami that didn't overpower the meat's flavor — I kept reaching for it.

I came away truly understanding why Choi Ja Road praised it so highly! If you want to taste genuinely authentic Jeju native black pork and the number one meljeot in Jeju, definitely stop by!
