Friday evening brunch with kaya butter toast at Like Like in Goyang
In short
Like Like Ilsan Juyeop Branch is a dog-friendly brunch restaurant on Juyeop-ro in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. Visiting on a Friday evening with a Naver reservation, the writer ordered the French toast plate set with homemade potato cream soup and orange juice, plus an extra kaya butter toast. A Friday evening, brunch instead of gimbap
'Should I just grab some gimbap (seaweed rice roll) for a light Friday dinner?' I thought — but instead I headed to Like Like Ilsan Juyeop Branch, an aesthetic café I'd had my eye on for a while!
I decided late at night on a whim and booked a Naver reservation for easy entry. Turns out this place is also famous as a dog-friendly café brunch spot in Ilsan where you can bring your pup along. If you reserve a visit after 6pm, you get a free mojito or highball — worth booking ahead if you're interested!
An exotic terrace right at the entrance
Like Like Juyeop Branch gives off a warm, exotic vibe from the entrance onward. The front is all glass, so the interior lighting spills gently outside — my tired after-work mood softened up before I'd even walked in. Out front there's a lovely terrace with lush palm plants, tiny fairy lights, and an aesthetic bicycle, giving off resort vibes.

On the wall, big banners for signature menu items — poke, salads, paninis — get you excited about what to order before you've even stepped in.

A cute little "Dogs Welcome" sign is posted too, showing just how warmly they welcome guests with pets, and there's also a note that the menu is available in foreign languages for international visitors — great if you're not confident in Korean and want an easy time picking what to order.

Dog brunch menu and prices
Like Like Juyeop Branch has a whole "dog brunch" menu (homemade dog donuts, dog pizza, dog puccino, and more) made for dogs — no wonder it's known as a top dog-friendly café brunch spot in Ilsan!
- Homemade dog donut ₩5,000
- Homemade dog pizza ₩5,000
- Dog puccino ₩4,500
- Dog brunch set (dog donut or dog pizza + dog puccino) ₩9,500 → 16% off at ₩8,500
It's great being able to enjoy brunch together with your dog!
Interior atmosphere and seating
Step inside and you're greeted by calm, warm wood-toned interiors. One wall has a stylish yellow accent with a long, plush deep-green sofa seating area running along it.
The ceiling combines rattan lighting with plant décor in a way that's perfect for Instagram-worthy photos! The tables are spaced generously too, so it's totally comfortable to enjoy brunch solo.

Menu items are displayed on the wall with photos, so if you're having trouble deciding, just pick based on what looks good in the pictures — you can't go wrong!

What's included in the set?
Every menu item can be ordered as a set! With a set, you choose between potato soup or a banana blueberry yogurt bowl (+₩2,500 add-on), and a drink from grapefruit, orange, milk, cola, or soda. There are also so many options — poke/salad, panini/sandwich, pilaf, toast, soup, coffee, drinks — that it took me a while to decide.

After much deliberation, I ended up ordering a solid lineup of signature menu items. I went with the French toast plate set with homemade potato cream soup on the side, orange juice to drink, and kaya butter toast.

How was the French toast plate set?
When it arrived, I couldn't help but admire the presentation! The golden, moist French toast was drizzled with a touch of sweet maple syrup, melting sweetly in my mouth.

The soft scrambled eggs had a lovely swirl to them, and salty bacon, plump scored sausages, and fresh, bursting ricotta cheese/sprout salad were all perfectly arranged on one plate.
Homemade potato cream soup made with Hongcheon potatoes
The homemade potato cream soup that came with it was especially great — deep, nutty potato flavor combined with crunchy croutons, perfect for warming up my insides after work. I was pleasantly surprised to spot a box of Hongcheon potatoes from Gangwon-do off to the side of the shop. Knowing the soup was made with Hongcheon potatoes from Gangwon-do made it taste even better to me, haha! The refreshing, cool orange juice paired nicely with it too.

The extra kaya butter toast I ordered
The kaya butter toast I ordered as an extra had sweet kaya jam and thick, rich butter packed between two crisply toasted slices of bread. The soft, sweet-and-nutty flavor that follows the crunch was really addictive. I meant to eat just one piece each, but ended up finishing the whole thing.

The sausage tasted even better dipped in honey mustard sauce and ketchup.

Checking the country-of-origin labels, everything was domestically sourced except for the bacon, beef bulgogi, and mozzarella cheese — that gave me even more confidence in the food.

Blankets, high chairs, and other amenities
The café also has lap blankets ready for when the AC is too cold or the weather turns chilly, and high chairs are available too, so you can enjoy brunch worry-free even with a baby along!

Levain cookies and group/delivery orders
Beyond brunch, there are also three kinds of cookies on offer.
- Plain levain cookie ₩3,600
- Red velvet cream cheese levain cookie ₩4,500
- Matcha white chocolate levain cookie ₩3,900

Group and delivery orders are also available — great for picnics, outings, or sports days!
The thoughtful details continued with a receipt photo review event: leave a review and you get one of the following — a homemade cookie, peach iced tea, potato cream soup, or maple French toast. Definitely worth taking part in.
Like Like Juyeop Branch is also a "Good Neighbor Store," partnering with Good Neighbors to give back to the community.

Why this dinner brunch was so satisfying
What started as "maybe I'll just grab some gimbap" turned into a wonderfully satisfying dinner brunch at Like Like Juyeop Branch. Friendly service, a cozy interior, and a genuinely thoughtful, hearty brunch menu — nothing was missing.

Next time, I'll definitely bring my own dog along and order the dog brunch. If you're near Juyeop in Ilsan and want a delicious, healing brunch, book a Naver reservation and pay a visit!
