Mangwon Market is so hot these days, right? Not just Koreans but so many foreign visitors too! I went to Taco Dot, famous as a Mangwon Market restaurant!
I booked a Naver reservation for the 11:30am opening and went. I timed it for opening and the place filled up immediately? Really lives up to being a Mangwon Market restaurant... I heard it's famous as a Mangwon Station spot, and yeah, it's really popular.
I love Mexican food and have eaten it all over, but Taco Dot gets my stamp of approval. It was so good!! Let me write an honest review of Taco Dot, the Mangwon Market taco, fajita, and chimichanga restaurant in trendy Mangridan-gil.

If you come to Mangwon Market, it's right there in front.

Here's the exterior of Taco Dot. The character really stands out haha.

Eye-catching artwork~ You'll spot it right away as you enter the alley.
Inside Taco Dot: seating and the self-serve bar
Here's the inside of Taco Dot. There's a bar table and facing tables too. The place isn't huge, but there are still quite a few tables!
There are coat hooks all around, handy for hanging up your jacket.

The interior is really done up hip. Colorful, quirky style~
At the self-serve bar there's hot sauce, cutlery, small plates, wet wipes, and blankets ready to go.

You order at the kiosk out front. You can see the owner working away, making everything by hand.

There's a huge variety of drinks too. So colorful and pretty.

What two people ordered at Taco Dot, and what it cost
Here's the Taco Dot menu. Fajita platters, chimichanga, tacos, taco rice, fries, buffalo wings, enchiladas — the variety is really wide. There are lots of fajita types too, so you can order to your taste. There were two of us, and we ordered the chimichanga, the hot chicken fajita platter, and a coke. It came to 53,300 won total.

There's a review event. Write one review and get a soda, write two and get guacamole and pulled pork fries. Chimichanga is a fried burrito with pulled pork inside, while enchilada is a baked burrito. We prefer fried over baked, so we went with chimichanga~

Our order arrived~ The look of it is amazing, right?

Hot chicken fajita platter: how to wrap it in a tortilla
First up is the hot chicken fajita platter. The smell alone is amazing.
It comes with a variety of sauces, cilantro, tomato, tortillas, and coleslaw.

The star of the fajita platter, hot chicken fajita~~~ This is a flavor Koreans will absolutely love! The meat, onion, and bell pepper come stir-fried in a sweet-and-spicy sauce.
First, spread ranch sauce or whichever sauce you like on the tortilla. Then top it with the hot chicken and onion, and add tomato or coleslaw on top to your taste.
Once it's assembled, roll it up and take a big bite. It's seriously delicious... everyone... you'll absolutely be amazed.

The seasoning is so good and pairs perfectly with the sauce. This sauce has a garlic flavor, and it's so good that dipping generously makes it even better.

What is a chimichanga? A fried burrito, crisp outside and tender inside
Next up, chimichanga! I first tried this dish at another restaurant and loved it so much it became one of my favorite foods. When I heard Taco Dot had chimichanga too, I ordered it without a second thought.

Now they cut it up into bite-sized pieces for us.
Looking at the cross-section, there's cheese and burrito rice inside. Think of it as a fried burrito. Fried so the outside is crispy and the inside is tender — crispy-outside-tender-inside at its finest~

You really taste the cheese, and the sauce is so good too. It gives off a bit of a spring roll vibe as well~

The chimichanga sauce is seriously delicious. Make sure to dip on more sauce~~ You really have to try the chimichanga~
