Hongdae café for birthday peach soufflé and Häagen-Dazs coffee

I went to Hongdae for a meal to celebrate my birthday, and while I was there I decided to stop by Think Fruit, a Blue Ribbon-awarded dessert café famous for its soufflé loaded with whole fresh peach.

The parfait was sold out — noooo ^_ㅠ I'd love to try it next time. I went back and forth between fig and peach, but ended up choosing peach. They said the peach soufflé takes about 20 minutes to prepare, so I decided whether to get it with or before the coffee. Once ordered, the staff bring it right to your table!!

Full on a weekday afternoon — the café's vibe

Even on a weekday afternoon this Hongdae dessert café was completely full — that's how popular it is. It seems like a great spot to bring a friend or go on a date near Hongik University Station station, haha. The white, wood, and green interior felt calm and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling windows gave it a really open feel~~

In one corner, peaches were ripening away happily!!! Peaches that arrived right on my birthday, apparently~~ Being able to see the fruit ripening like this makes me trust the peach soufflé even more, hahaha

How the Häagen-Dazs coffee slushie tastes

They had a cold iced Americano and a Häagen-Dazs coffee slushie, so I ordered it — and it was seriously delicious 😚 hahaha. Häagen-Dazs ice cream needs no explanation, but mixed together it's sweet and you just keep sipping it, haha. If you ever get the chance to try something with Häagen-Dazs ice cream in it, you absolutely have to order it, hahaha

Peach soufflé — fluffy like Shiawase Pancake

The peach soufflé. Ah,,, the moment I saw it I thought of the Shiawase Pancake I loved in Japan,,, so fluffy-fluffy, that soufflé, haha. It's been so long since I had soufflé,,!!? My anticipation for how it'd pair with peach shot up!!!

There's also Häagen-Dazs ice cream tucked between the soufflé layers, and eating the ice cream together with the cream was so good. I snapped this photo of the coffee mid-drink, so it's not the prettiest shot, haha — but the iced Americano's beans were also really tasty.

The peach's texture — crisp or juicy?

Not quite a crisp peach, but not fully soft and juicy either — somewhere in between, which made it perfect to eat alongside the soufflé. It wasn't too sweet, and the combination with the soufflé really worked for me. So glad I looked around for a dessert café and ended up here. Even before tasting it, the visual alone was satisfying!!!!

Think Fruit really delivers on soufflé texture. Instantly understood why it's so packed on a weekday. Satisfies not just girls but even my boyfriend's taste!! Once you fall for this soufflé texture, there's no escaping it, hahaha

More surprising than the ice cream — this cream

The cream that came with the soufflé was so, so good — and honestly the combination with this cream worked even better with the soufflé than the ice cream did, which surprised me while eating, hahaha. This doesn't feel like ordinary cream at all!!!!ㅠㅠ I want to eat it again

Yogurt hidden inside the yellow peach

When I cut open the hwangdo (yellow peach), there was yogurt inside. I'd only ever seen this combination on social media, and finally got to try it. Instantly understood why everyone eats it this way, hahaha. Paired with the just-ripe peach it was delicious. With the peach juice mixing in your mouth too, it's honey-sweet, hahaha

If you're looking for a top Hongdae dessert café, go try the soufflé at Think Fruit,,haha. If you've ever had pancakes in Tokyo, you'll definitely be reminded of Shiawase Pancake, haha. I think I'll have to go back whenever I'm craving soufflé again~~~~ Looking at these photos makes me want it all over again ㅠㅠ
