Was setting up a get-together in Pangyo, and found out Bacha, a place I liked before, also has a branch here — instant yes!
Parking is available / ₩4,000 for the first hour, ₩4,000 per additional 60 minutes, max ₩20,000. Totally fine.
I gave the guys samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) and this place as options, and they picked this one saying the menu looked good. I don't like grilling meat while everyone else chats, haha.
Why a 6:30pm Tuesday table at Bacha Pangyo Branch needs a reservation
We visited Bacha Pangyo Branch after booking for 6:30pm on a Tuesday, and I'm glad we did. The store isn't big, and every table except one was reserved (it's smaller than the Jeongja branch).
They set the table so cutely, haha.
What four friends ordered from the Bacha Pangyo Branch menu
Here's the menu. As a pasta lover, I really like the soju-and-pasta combo, and next time I really, really want to try the mentaiko bacon cream pasta!

Bacha's menu is pretty solid — tasty, easy to pick at, works for first or second rounds, and it's not too loud, so it's great for gathering drinking buddies.

There was a group booking that day so the food took a while. We should've decided on our order in advance. Still, we enjoyed the weather and chatted slowly.
Of the four of us, two got married last year/this year and two are getting married this year/next year, so the whole topic was weddings. It started with 'the wedding industry is a mess, lol' and ended with 'wedding planning meetups are a mess too, lol' — trashing wedding meetups while at a wedding meetup, haha. Still, what a good excuse to make time to meet up!
Sous vide pork jowl with chive salad: made for the wasabi
We were drinking first, then the pork jowl arrived! Same taste I remembered from the Jeongja branch, haha — moist, tasty, tender, and the chive salad was really, really good. A perfect match with wasabi.
How rich is the whole squid Nagasaki soup broth?
First time trying Nagasaki-style at Bacha, and it's very! good. Perfect drinking food. Also packed generously with ingredients — squid's been small lately, but this was solid.
Lots of noodles in there too, so it doubles as a rice/soju-friendly dish, slurp slurp. And the broth was so, so rich and delicious that I think I ended up eating almost only the broth as the side dish. I ladled it into a bowl and just drank it straight. Still, the portion was big enough that we couldn't finish it all — even with 3 guys and 1 girl!
Onion boneless chicken comes with fries
(As the drinking progressed, my photo-taking got progressively worse.) Next was the onion boneless chicken. It was tasty, sauced in onion flavor. Generous portion, and it comes with fries too. Honestly, as a person who isn't a big chicken fan, having fries alongside made me really happy, hehe. Best snacks to pick at: #1 dried pollock, #2 fries.
But it must've been good, because I even filmed a video of it, haha.
Where is the restroom? In the same building's hallway
Super, super important — the restroom! (I'm someone who agonizes over what pants to wear on days I have plans, because bar restroom cleanliness and safety matter a lot to me.) Go into the same building and it's in this bright hallway. The restroom itself was clean too, which I liked. It's close to the store and close once you enter the building. Still, if you're not great in a fight, go together with a friend.
Naver reservation coupon at Bacha Pangyo Branch: no stacking
Oh! If you book through Naver Reservation, there's a coupon. It can't be combined with other discounts, so think about which is better and use the coupon accordingly! I wanted to get the traditional liquor but couldn't since it would've been a duplicate discount — a bit of a bummer, ugh.
What does the name Bacha mean?
I didn't know this, but apparently Bacha was started by a former developer/UX designer who quit their office job to open it. It's said to come from the meaning of 'VARCHAR', the programming data type. True to that meaning, the place feels like it brings together all sorts of menu items in one harmonious spot. Every time I go to Bacha the memories are good, so I think I'll keep going back often.
