Dwaeji Mansion in Pangyo Avenue France: an early weekend lunch visit
Dwaeji Mansion is a great Pangyo Avenue France restaurant, also good for work dinners of Korean BBQ. When it first opened it was super hot with long waits, but things have quieted down lately, so I hopped over on a weekend. You can park at Avenue France, so it's an easy visit.

Weekend late-morning seating and wedding-invitation gatherings
When I visited a bit early on a weekend, there weren't many people, but quite a few tables had reservations. There was a wedding-invitation gathering going on while we were there too. Seems like a good place for that kind of get-together in Pangyo.

What are the side dishes like at Dwaeji Mansion?
Neat, well-arranged side dishes. Every single one was delicious at this Dwaeji Mansion in Pangyo Avenue France.

Herring roe sauce, white kimchi, pickled wood ear mushrooms (jangajji), minari (water dropwort), and fish sauce all came out together, and overall it was clean and tasty. I don't usually like wood ear mushrooms but I ate them all... haha.

Handon pork belly and Iberico pork neck, grilled by the staff
The staff grill all the meat, so you just get to sit back and eat. Staff-grilled pork belly at Dwaeji Mansion, Avenue France, Pangyo.

We ordered pork belly and Iberico pork neck.

One order each, and they came with minari and mushrooms to eat alongside.

The country of origin was clearly labeled too...!

They grilled the pork belly and pork neck together at the same time, and gave us the pork belly first since it cooked faster. Since they grilled everything for us, eating was super easy. Seems like a great spot for a work dinner or family gathering in Pangyo.

Why resting the pork neck changes the texture
After grilling the pork neck, they rest it, which locks in the juices and makes the texture even more tender. Genuinely so delicious. Soft texture plus great flavor... the best.

The eating order the staff recommended
They also told us the best way to eat it: the first bite dipped in salt, and after that with herring roe and garlic scapes. It was delicious in any combination. The taste of meat really depends on the grilling skill, and since experts were grilling it here, I think we got it at its absolute best.

Kimchi jjigae ordered on the side
We added a kimchi jjigae, which came with a bowl of rice.

A kimchi jjigae good enough to be a lunch dish on its own. Packed with ingredients, generous with vegetables and meat — a hearty, filling meal at this Pangyo Korean BBQ favorite, Dwaeji Mansion, Avenue France.

Is Dwaeji Mansion good for Pangyo family meals and work dinners?
It really felt like it had been a while since I had such good pork belly. And the side dishes here were all delicious one by one, so I'd recommend it.

The meat itself was great and the grilling skill was excellent, making for a genuinely delicious and comfortable meal at Dwaeji Mansion, Avenue France, Pangyo. Recommended for a Pangyo family meal or work dinner spot!
