Today I'm introducing a bar in Pangyo with really good food to go with the drinks! There are so many great restaurants and bars near Pangyo Station that it's always hard to decide where to go, but this time I went to a place where you can pick from all kinds of dishes.
They also accept coupons. If you book for a wedding invitation gathering they'll give you traditional liquor, and if you sign up for notifications you get onion cheese nachos on your visit too! As you'll see in the photos below, the vibe here is pretty great — good to keep in mind if you're looking for a nice spot in Pangyo for that kind of get-together, haha.

Where is Bacha Pangyo Branch and how do you get there?
Bacha Pangyo Branch is about a 5-minute walk from Pangyo Station. There's no big sign, so it might be a little tricky to find — just look for the place with blue light glowing out front!
What the inside of Bacha Pangyo Branch looks like

The interior of Bacha Pangyo Branch is black-toned and clean-looking. Personally I really dislike bars that go all-in on red lighting (you know the vibe I mean?!), but here the soft blue lighting was really nice😊 It's a comfortable spot for a casual dinner and drinks with friends, and a solid pick for after-work meetups or gatherings in Pangyo🍷🫧

Another thing that made the atmosphere great was the big windows looking out! Around sunset it was gorgeous, haha. I'd recommend this as a nice-vibe bar for a date or blind date in Pangyo🫧🤍
What is on the menu at Bacha Pangyo Branch?

Just looking at the menu, you could tell this place takes its food seriously — nothing felt like the usual predictable bar snacks. There are plenty of main dishes women would love too, like seafood jjim (steamed seafood), pork jowl suyuk (boiled pork), cream pasta, and seafood tteokjjim. And of course the classics were there too — fruit platters, meoktae (dried pollack), squid. What surprised me even more was the drink lineup — beyond beer and soju, they had highballs, wine, makgeolli, and traditional liquor, so many options🍺🍷 The highballs looked like nothing I'd seen before, all so tempting..🤤 If you love drinking, you have to check this place out, haha.

It was so hot that day that I was craving a cold draft beer, so I ordered one. It was called cream draft beer, and it was so smooth it just went down easy🤗
Sous vide pork jowl with seasoned chive salad

The first thing we ordered at Bacha Pangyo Branch was the sous vide pork jowl served with chive salad. WOWOWOWOW~ The color on that meat was insane!!! It looked so tender just from looking at it that I was impressed before I even took a bite, haha.

The portion was pretty generous too, and the balance of fat to lean meat was perfect — genuinely delicious pork jowl..🤍🤍

Not tough at all, just soft and tender. It went great with beer, but next time I really want to try it with traditional liquor instead.

You know good meat is delicious even just dipped in wasabi, right?! No gamey smell at all, and the fattiness was just right — so good🍻🍻

Since the portion is generous, once it starts feeling a little rich, piling on the chive salad lets you keep eating endlessly, haha. The chive salad itself was fresh with a nice chive aroma.
Rochi-saeu: rosé tteokbokki with shrimp and boneless chicken

Rochi-saeu is a dish with tteokbokki (rice cakes), shrimp, bacon, and boneless chicken all in a rosé sauce! There's no way this could be bad!!!

The menu said it's made with Bacha's own special rosé sauce, and it really was delicious! Kind of gave off that famous rosé-tteokbokki-with-fried-chicken chain vibe?!!! The rice cakes weren't too thick, so the sauce soaked all the way through — it genuinely tasted like it came from a rosé tteokbokki specialty restaurant!! 🥄
And the combo of the chicken with that sauce is seriously the best!!!! You know how when you order spicy tteokbokki you also get fried chicken to dip in the sauce? It's exactly that feeling👍🏻 This is the dish women in particular would love, so definitely give it a try.

There were even five shrimp in it, and they were super plump🍤 Since it's technically a bar snack, the portion isn't huge, but the quality wasn't bar-snack-level at all — it was genuinely great tteokbokki.
Whiskey ice cream for dessert

For dessert there was a sweet hotteok ice cream and a whiskey ice cream option! I wanted something a bit special today so I went with the whiskey one, haha. When it arrived they'd poured in more whiskey than I expected! They said you can eat it separately or pour it all in, so I tried the ice cream on its own first — it was the classic vanilla ice cream flavor we all know🍦
But once I drizzled the whiskey over it, the flavor got so much more sophisticated!!! A slightly bitter note came through after the sweetness, and the combination was really good! Now I get why people order whiskey ice cream, haha.
