Dong, Daegu café for drip coffee takeout: Hands Coffee

If you are looking for a café with plenty of parking near Dongchon Resort, this was a place worth considering. On my first visit to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점), I took away hand-drip coffee and milk fresh cream cake, and the spacious café and river view also stayed with me.

Where is it, and is there enough parking?

The café is at 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu, behind Daegu Ilmeister High School. With Dongchon Resort right in front, it was in a good spot for a walk before or after visiting. The hours listed in the original post are 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day, and it is open year-round.

I especially liked the ample parking. Since I have found parking difficult around Dongchon Resort before, I thought this would be an important factor when choosing a place to meet by car.

The café uses three floors, from the 2nd through the 4th floors. It was larger than I had expected from the outside.

What desserts can you choose with your coffee?

They also sell old-fashioned bingsu (shaved ice dessert), so I thought it could be nice to stop by for dessert after a meal at Dongchon Resort.

There was also a wide variety of brunch options. This time I ordered coffee and cake, but I would like to try brunch next time.

There were waffles topped with Häagen-Dazs ice cream as well. With a variety of roll cakes and other cakes, there were several dessert options to choose from.

My child wanted milk fresh cream cake, so we ordered it.

How did the coffee price and taste feel?

I felt that the coffee was on the expensive side. Still, considering how it tasted, I did not feel that the amount I paid was wasted. At the time of my visit, they were also running a Naver receipt-review event.

Are there seats and views for a group?

I liked the antique-style interior. The café also sold small decorative items and drip coffee separately.

It was busy when I visited on Saturday lunchtime. However, because it uses three floors, there were many tables, and the generous spacing between them made it feel comfortable.

Seeing the large parking lot and ample tables, I thought it could work well as a place for several people to meet. The river view outside was also nice. The women’s restroom is on the 3rd floor, while both men’s and women’s restrooms are on the 4th floor.

How was the drip coffee and cake takeout?

We took away hand-drip coffee and milk fresh cream cake. We had to hurry because of our next plans, so I was disappointed that we could not spend a little more time at the café.

I was satisfied because they packaged the cake neatly. On this visit, the coffee and packaging were good, and if I have a gathering at Dongchon Resort next time, I think I would consider the ample parking and seating again.
