Seongsu Station café for Nutmo Sphere ice and tiramisu affogato: Biat

Today I'm writing about Biat Seongsu, famous as one of the dessert cafés near Seongsu Station! 💕

Where Biat Seongsu is and how to find the 2nd-floor entrance

Biat Seongsu is about 5 minutes from Exit 1 of Seongsu Station! It's tucked in an alley off the busy main street of Seongsu-dong, so it actually feels more relaxed here. As soon as I got to the café, the exterior already looked kind of hip — classic hip Seongsu 🧡

You don't walk straight into the 1st floor — there's a staircase off to the side, and you take that up to the 2nd floor ^^! The stairs are a bit steep but let's go on up ^^!! 💛

What we ordered at Biat Seongsu

True to its reputation as one of the best cafés in Seongsu for cake, the showcase had all its popular desserts laid out beautifully! Both things I wanted were right there ^^! It's fig season these days!! (Even though neither my sister nor I are big fig fans...!) But I couldn't resist the look of the fig Greek yogurt croffle!! 😆

So that's what we ordered!! 💛

You can order right at the table! They also had the coffee beans they use on display so you could take in the aroma!! And they were running a Naver receipt review event too — join in and get a tasty dessert 👍

This is the area on the left as you face the counter — felt a bit brighter to me!

And this is the space on the right! 💛 Being one of the big Seongsu cafés, the interior is genuinely spacious, and honestly I kept going back and forth like — the bright side is nice? — then I'd look at the right side and think — no wait, that side has more atmosphere? — and go back again haha!!! Both sides are that good.

Biat Seongsu really is huge and roomy inside! It's all done in warm wood tones with tasteful little objects placed here and there, so everywhere was a great photo spot!! Honestly there wasn't a single unpretty corner!! 😆 And each seating area has its own mood, so it was fun to pick a spot that matched what we felt like ㅋㅋㅋ

This is the outdoor terrace seat — looks like there's only the one, and the door was firmly shut so we didn't bother opening it, but it does have a nice vibe ^^ though what mood were the two of us even looking for here ㅋㅋㅋ our indoor seat was plenty pretty too!! 🧡

Wow!!! The visuals are amazing!! This one passes the test as a Seongsu Station café dessert spot!!!! So so pretty 💛 A million photos taken! The wood-toned tables go so well with the desserts! If you're looking for a Seongsu Station café dessert with great visuals, this place is perfect for you!

What the fig Greek yogurt croffle tastes like

❣️ Fig Greek yogurt croffle. From the moment it arrived, this dessert was already pure photo-mood material!! The croffle (croissant waffle) was seriously crisp, layered with thick, soft Greek yogurt in between, so cutting into it with the ripe fig, the fig's gentle sweetness and the yogurt's tangy freshness came together perfectly, and with the croffle being insanely crunchy on top of that, this combo was so so good!! Neither my sister nor I even really like figs and we finished the whole thing ㅋㅋㅋ who said we don't like figs!!

Is the tiramisu affogato worth ordering?

❣️ Tiramisu affogato. A harmony of mascarpone cream and soft-serve ice cream between layers of genoise cake sheet! I scooped up the soft serve first — it's so soft and delicious! But then I scooped up the mascarpone cream together with the soft cake layer in one bite!! This was also incredibly good 🧡

The signature Nutmo Sphere ice with peanut butter cream

❣️ Nutmo Sphere ice. When I first saw this on the menu I thought it was a dessert! The name is so unique! It's Biat Seongsu's signature menu item, made with a cream of peanut butter mixed with unrefined sugar plus caramel milk!! Whenever I go to a café I always order the signature item. One sip and peanut butter aroma bursts through along with espresso and sweet cream together — so smooth and delicious! There are bits of sugar you bite into here and there too, which has its own charm 💛 Order this one, no question!! hehe

Living up to its reputation as a great café for Seongsu Station dessert, everything was fantastic in both look and taste!! Next time I'll bring my mom too ^^ It's not just a coffee spot — there are so many delicious desserts that ordering a bunch to share was so much fun! It's. So. Good!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Beyond the dessert and coffee, Biat Seongsu's space itself is genuinely huge and spacious, so it's plenty pretty to photograph, and it has such a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere to enjoy in 👍 It's also a great date spot in Seongsu, so if you're visiting Seongsu-dong with family, a partner, or friends, I highly, highly recommend stopping by 💛
