LOOOP Bakery is a large bakery café on Yeonmujang 5-gil near Seongsu Station. You go to Seongsu a lot, right?! Meeting up with friends there is basically a given. But-here's-the-thing: there really aren't that many quiet cafés near Seongsu Station to actually chat with friends — anyone who visits Seongsu often probably knows this. So I went looking for a calmer-vibe café~~looking, looking!! And I found just the spot. It's called "LOOOP Bakery."

The interior has this feel — gray, modern, and cool-toned. There's a large table, plus 4-seaters, 2-seaters, 6-seaters, and more, so there's a good variety of seating options.

Here's the drinks menu! They have a lot of drink options, but what really stands out is the filter coffee lineup — Jamaican, Hawaiian, Colombian... so many kinds of filter coffee that you could pick based on your own preference.

And this place is a bakery heaven too... so many cream cakes, pound cakes, scones, salt breads, pastries — I didn't know what to pick!! The cakes looked delicious, but somehow I wasn't in the mood for cake that day, so I picked out a few breads instead.

Maybe because fig and kiwi are in season, the fruit cakes looked so delicious,,,

Honestly since it looked so pretty I figured the taste would just be so-so~ but both breads were sooo good?? Zero dryness, both soft and buttery with a flaky, crackly texture!! Genuinely delicious,, especially that matcha cream bear pastry, it was amazing. It was a flavor I'd never had before. The matcha cream isn't just cream — it's matcha white chocolate cream!! That's probably why the texture is even sweeter and richer. (Such a premium taste!!) On top of that the pastry has that crisp, shattery bite too, so good good,, I genuinely finished the whole thing.

And the latte was really tasty too.. this is clearly a place that takes coffee seriously, because it exceeded expectations, haha. If I come back to Seongsu-dong, I'm definitely coming here again.

Why LOOOP Bakery works for solo work and studying until 2am

This was the day I went to Seongsu alone to work and study. LOOOP has a big island table where everyone just shares seats and works or studies together, so it's really good for solo visits.
