Baegya Coffee is a large bakery café spanning 1st to 3rd floors right in front of Sageunjin Beach in Gangneung, so even in the morning it wasn't crowded at all and I could stay comfortably. When choosing a café while traveling, I think 'spaciousness' and 'view' are two key criteria, and Baegya Coffee lived up to its scale.

Room to enjoy floor by floor: the building connects across three floors, so the space is really wide. Each floor has a slightly different view outside the window, which made exploring fun, and the tables were spaced generously, making it easy to chat comfortably.

Visiting in the morning, I saw a lot of family groups. The interior was spacious and neatly organized so that people with strollers or babies could use it without any hassle — I thought it would be perfect for those looking for a no-kids-zone-friendly alternative too.

At Baegya Coffee, we ordered an iced americano, a smooth latte, and crispy pastry bread together. True to a large bakery café, one whole side of the store was filled with a huge variety of bread and desserts, making it a happy struggle to pick what to choose.

The showcase and display shelves were neatly lined with tarts, pastries, and plain savory bread. The nutty smell of freshly baked bread hit my nose, and I naturally found myself picking up a tray.

We took our drinks and bread to a window seat. Sipping coffee while watching the waves roll in beyond the window and taking in the view was the ultimate healing that melted away all the trip's fatigue.
