Gangdong egg shop for open sandwiches: Fresh Farmer
In short
Fresh Farmer Olympic Park Foreon Direct Store is a premium egg shop in Gangdong, Seoul. I bought 10-egg packs from Farm No. 1 and Farm No. 2, then tried them boiled, over bibimbap, and on open sandwiches. Verdict: The rich, nutty yolks made these eggs so fun to cook with.

A premium egg specialty shop I found in Dunchon-dong
Today I’m introducing Fresh Farmer Olympic Park Foreon Direct Store, a premium egg specialty shop in Dunchon-dong!

Fresh Farmer originally sells only premium eggs stocked in department stores. Apparently, this is its one and only branch in the Olympic Park Foreon shopping complex.

Right outside the shop, there was even a tasting station where you could try boiled eggs. They must be really confident in their eggs to run a tasting station so proudly, right? My trust level suddenly went up! Hahaha.

Fresh Farmer eggs are the No. 1-selling eggs supplied to department stores nationwide. Since department stores stock only quality products, I felt like I could really trust them.
They also had all sorts of separate patents for producing premium eggs professionally.

Kiosk ordering and a guide to Farms No. 1 and No. 2
Ordering was easy at the kiosk. As it turns out, the shop reportedly operates unattended on weekends!

Fresh Farmer’s Farm No. 1 and Farm No. 2 have slightly different environments. There were explanations with farm photos showing their features and how they differ.

Albon free-range fertilized eggs, No. 1
These are animal-welfare, free-range fertilized eggs from No. 1! They’re eggs with shell code No. 1, famous for being healthy and fresh. The brand is Albon! Among Fresh Farmer’s products, this farm has the largest free-range rearing environment. They’re said to be the exact same product sold at department stores.

Animal welfare fertilized eggs, No. 2
These are shell code No. 2 eggs! They’re extra-large animal welfare fertilized eggs. They come from a farm that maintains a pleasant environment every day through automated hygiene management and rigorous individual monitoring.

Fresh Farmer’s chickens are said to eat feed made with precious ingredients, like the nine-dish royal table once served to kings. They even had a display of what the chickens that laid these eggs actually eat. Eggs laid by chickens eating such healthy feed must be good for us too, of course!

Delivery service and the 10-egg packs I bought
Fresh Farmer also offers a delivery service that brings fresh eggs right to your doorstep. I think it would be so convenient for people living nearby to have them delivered.

I didn’t know this before, but apparently fresh eggs have noticeably different yolks. These are eggs from Fresh Farmer’s Farm No. 2, and the yolks were such a deep orange color.
I bought the two best-selling Fresh Farmer products: a 10-egg pack of Albon free-range fertilized eggs (No. 1) and a 10-egg pack of animal welfare fertilized eggs (No. 2).

I bought them on August 31, and the laying date was August 30. Oh my gosh—freshness itself......

There were actually numbers written on the eggs called shell codes. You could clearly see No. 1 and No. 2 stamped on them.

From boiled eggs to bibimbap and sandwiches
As soon as I got home, I boiled them right away. Twelve minutes in boiling water!! If you like soft-boiled eggs, I recommend 8–9 minutes.
They were seriously so plump, I can’tㅠㅠ Look at those yolks with that deeep yellow color. A little dip in salt made them so rich and nutty.

I also made fried eggs—such a bright, pale-yellow fry! I put one on bibimbap (mixed rice), and from the first bite, the deep, nutty flavor of the egg was seriously delicious.

And as the huge bread lover that I am, I use eggs generously as sandwich ingredients too. >.< Even on an open sandwich, those bright yellow eggs really stand out. And the taste? No need to say more..... These days, I’m so excited that I can make all the fresh-egg sandwiches I want. >.<
