I heard a new place opened in Yeongjong where you can eat eel and beef all-you-can-eat, so I went to check it out. More and more good restaurants are popping up in Yeongjong lately, and this time it's an all-you-can-eat spot to really fill up! I visited Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store (장소담 영종직영점).

How to find Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store and where to park

Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store is on the 2nd floor of a building at 18 Haneuljungang-ro 195beon-gil, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, and you can park in the basement level 1. Looking up at the 2nd floor from the parking entrance, you can easily spot the Jangsodam sign, and there was plenty of parking space too, which was nice.

As soon as you get to the 2nd floor, Jangsodam is right there. It's a place where you can choose eel, beef, or pork and eat as much as you want. They said the eel they use is only premium-grade domestic Japonica freshwater eel.

What is on the self-bar at Jangsodam?

The self-bar at Jangsodam is the first thing you see when you walk in. It's stocked with all kinds of side dishes like tofu kimchi, pasta, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), acorn jelly, sundae (Korean blood sausage), plus rice, rice balls, lettuce, sausages, and more.

The sundae here is actually really good too. It wasn't dry, which I liked. The pasta noodles were a bit soft, but the other side dishes were solid. I personally love stir-fried kimchi, and the tofu kimchi with stir-fried kimchi was so good I went back for seconds a few times.

What comes in Set B (eel + pork), and what the other sets cost

After ordering Set B (eel + pork) and making a trip to the self-bar, I had the following side dishes set up on my table. A perfect pairing for eel and pork, right?

Ordering Set B gets you seasoned crab, pork loin, and eel together. If you want more, you just order a Set B refill. You can eat it as a single dish or enjoy it all-you-can-eat.

How does the pork loin taste?

The pork loin in Jangsodam's Set B is sliced thin, so it cooked fast, which I loved. Being able to eat quickly when you're hungry is the best!

There was no gamey smell from the meat, and since it was thin, it wasn't tough or dry — the pork loin was really tasty.

Potato wraps and Japonica freshwater eel

Next to the self-bar at Jangsodam there's a pork zone and a vegetable zone. I brought over potatoes, sausage, cheese rice cakes, and green onion to grill together. Have you heard of potato wraps? Apparently it's trendy right now to grill thinly sliced potato and eat it wrapped with the meat! Definitely try a potato wrap once! Just be careful not to burn yourself — the potato is hot when you eat it!

I cut the eel into bite-sized pieces to eat. The domestic Japonica freshwater eel was mild yet thick, perfect for a nourishing meal. Since it's thick, make sure to grill all sides well!

Finishing the meal with Han River ramyeon

For the final dessert, I even had ramyeon (instant noodles). There's a variety of ramyeon types to choose from according to your taste, which is a nice touch.
