Dog-friendly BBQ buffet in Yeongjong, Incheon: aged eel, Jangsodam

Today I'm introducing Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store, an all-you-can-eat eel + beef + pork restaurant in Yeongjong Sky City on Yeongjong Island! The self-bar, desserts, and even drinks are ALL refillable — a great value spot on Yeongjong Island, and perfect for group meetups and family gatherings!

Inside the second-floor dining room: can you bring your dog?

Jangsodam on Yeongjong Island is on the 2nd floor! Even the exterior looks sleek, so my expectations were already rising.

Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store, a spot near Incheon Airport on Yeongjong Island, allows pets! A carrier/cage and proof of vaccination are required. Since dogs are welcome, a lot of people come here for family gatherings on Yeongjong Island too!

The interior of Jangsodam on Yeongjong Island! Clean, spacious, and comfortable. The tables had generous spacing, and there were group seating areas too — great for group meetups or work dinners. The hood ventilation was well maintained, and they clearly pay attention to airflow.

Jangsodam set menus and prices, from 21,000 to 39,000 won

The set menus at Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store are: Set A — eel + 6 cuts of beef + pork + yukhoe, ₩39,000; Set B — eel + short beef ribs + pork, ₩34,000; Set C — 6 cuts of beef + pork + yukhoe, ₩32,000; Set D — pork + dakgalbi, ₩21,000. All sets come with unlimited access to the entire self-bar.

For eel + beef, you get 120 minutes; for pork, 100 minutes!

What's on the self-bar at Jangsodam? (hot dishes, rice balls, meat fridge)

There was tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), dotorimuk (acorn jelly), spaghetti, and dubu kimchi (tofu with stir-fried kimchi)! Menu items kids would love, so if you're looking for a family-friendly spot to visit with kids on Yeongjong Island, Jangsodam is a good pick.

And there's unlimited steamed rice too! ٩(・༥ ・)و Ingredients for making rice balls were set up alongside it, so you could enjoy rice in various ways — a nice bonus.

Side dishes and sauces could also be picked up freely from the self-bar.

Inside the self-bar fridge, there was pork neck, pork belly, dakgalbi (salt, teriyaki, spicy), tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties), sausages, pork skin, ribs, and more — all refillable, not just pork. The lettuce wraps looked fresh too.

And finally, sparkling drinks from a dispenser, coffee, and plum tea — all refillable too! My boyfriend is a soda lover and ordered two drinks every time, so it was great that he could drink as much as he wanted!

Grill setup, the serving robot and the side dishes

The grill was set up! For dakgalbi, pork ribs, or other marinated meats, you can switch to a mesh grill, so make sure to use the right grill for the right meat!

The banchan (side dishes) that pair well with eel, beef, and pork came out neatly arranged! Kimchi, pickled vegetables, scallion salad and other sides that go well with meat, plus ginger and namul (seasoned vegetables) that pair well with eel — all divided up cleanly and variedly, which I loved.

Six cuts of beef, eel, yukhoe, and spicy and soy-marinated crab. Everything except the two crab dishes is refillable! It all comes out in this basic setup at first, and you can refill just the cuts you want after.

How does the soaked-and-aged freshwater eel taste?

Freshwater eel! I heard it's soaked-and-aged with eel bone extract, giving it a different density from regular eel, so I was really looking forward to it.

Best eel I've had in a while ദ്ദി ´ᵕ｀๑)و♡ There's a reason it's known as an eel spot on Yeongjong Island... The golden-grilled eel was thick, moist, chewy, and even nutty — exactly what I'd hoped for.

Six cuts of beef and Yeonpyeong-do marinated crab

Great-looking six cuts of beef! Sirloin, galbisal (short rib finger meat), bucheotsal (shoulder flap), beef brisket, and more variety. The bright red color and marbling looked amazing — mouthwatering even before grilling ( *´ ‪ཫ`*)♡

What I liked about Jangsodam on Yeongjong Island is that you can eat both eel and beef! A perfect spot when one person wants eel and another wants beef or pork haha.

The beef quality was great too! Super tender, juicy, and not chewy at all, so I really enjoyed it (*´؂`*). The variety of side dishes made pairing fun too. Trying a bit of each cut and then refilling with your favorite was a nice touch.

Domestic Yeonpyeong-do crab — soy-marinated and spicy marinated! These crabs aren't part of the all-you-can-eat refill, but they were seriously delicious! Sold at ₩4,000 per crab, packed with roe and meat — total rice thief ദ്ദി˶ˊᵕˋ˵)

Han River ramyeon and the dessert self-bar

With a set menu order, Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store also gives unlimited Han River ramyeon (instant noodles cooked riverside-picnic style)! Shin Ramyun, Jin Ramyun, Chapagetti, Neoguri... there are 10 types of ramyeon!

We picked Neoguri! We added vegetables and mushrooms from the lettuce-wrap self-bar and boiled it up. After going through eel, beef, and pork, the Han River ramyeon was the perfect palate cleanser.

Dinner rolls with a mini oven, snacks, and even ice cream — dessert is refillable too... (〃´-`〃)♡ I think I ate at least 4 rolls with strawberry jam alone haha.

Where to stop nearby on Yeongjong Island

I visited because I heard Jangsodam is a popular all-you-can-eat spot in Yeongjong Sky City, Incheon! Yeongjong Seaside Rail Bike is right nearby, and Inspire Resort or Eulwangni Beach aren't far either! With Incheon Airport close by, it's a great spot to stop before or after a trip!
