Private parking and group seats at Oseuseu, a Pocheon alley restaurant

I want to introduce a really delicious restaurant in Pocheon. It's small, but it's genuinely famous around here. The place has a variety of tasty Western dishes, a great atmosphere, and food that's really good — Oseuseu, a Pocheon Western restaurant with a great vibe and great food.

Where is Oseuseu and where do you park?

This is what Oseuseu, a Pocheon Western restaurant, looks like from outside. Oseuseu is located in Sinup-dong, Pocheon, a small restaurant down a narrow alley — but the menu is varied and the food is genuinely delicious. Roadside parking is possible on weekends, and there's also plenty of dedicated parking right next to the restaurant.

Inside Oseuseu: tables and group seating

Here's the interior of Oseuseu, and honestly, the atmosphere inside is really lovely. There were quite a lot of tables set up, plus group seating, which was great. True to its word-of-mouth reputation, it was full of customers — I thought it'd be a really good place for families or couples to visit.

The atmosphere at Oseuseu really was lovely — the space itself was decorated in a very exotic, distinctive way. It had a cozy yet peaceful vibe that I really liked. A great spot to visit casually and comfortably with family.

What's on the menu at Oseuseu, and what's in the signature set?

Oseuseu in Pocheon had a wide variety of menu items. The pasta selection alone was pretty extensive — red shrimp, baek myeongran (pollack roe), shrimp rosé, meat sobolo (crumbled meat) — and there were also rice dishes like shrimp pilaf, mushroom pilaf, spicy chicken, and truffle mushroom risotto, plus a range of steaks and salads.

In particular, the signature set lets you pick a salad, pasta, and steak together at a really reasonable price. We ordered the signature menu at Oseuseu too — grilled napa cabbage salad, red shrimp pasta, and house steak.

Red shrimp pasta at Oseuseu

First up is the dish called red shrimp pasta at Oseuseu. Big chunky red shrimp and flying fish roe came in a thick, sweet sauce with the pasta. It looked as good as it sounds, and the taste itself was pretty hearty and delicious.

The shrimp themselves were big and tasty, and the noodles were nice and chewy too. It went really well with the sauce, so it was a satisfying, delicious dish to eat — the kind of pasta you don't get tired of no matter how much you eat.

Grilled napa cabbage salad

Among the salads, this grilled napa cabbage salad comes standard with the signature set. Other places have cabbage salads too, but this one at Oseuseu is really a cut above. The dressing itself was nicely sweet and tangy, and the well-grilled cabbage was so good — a level above your typical salad.

House steak

Finally, the house steak. It came out well-grilled, with a really nice texture to the meat and a hearty portion. As part of the set, it was more than enough for two people to fill up on.

The steak itself tasted great, and the bosal (rump) cut came thick and well-grilled. The sauce had really good flavor too, and it paired nicely with the mashed potatoes and other sides. Everything on the menu was hearty and delicious — I'd definitely recommend visiting Oseuseu, a Western restaurant well worth the trip in Pocheon.
